11 th May 2017 Dear Parents DBS Wakra Bake Sale: Savoury and Sweet We would like to have a PTA Bake Sale as our last PTA event for the year. The bake sale will coincide with the DBS Wakra Music Recital on the same day at 7:30am. The Bake Sale will take place on Thursday 18 th May 7:30am onwards. Please contact a member of the PTA or Sharon about bringing in an item you have baked or alternatively please sign up on the sheet outside on the main notice board. Please indicate what you will bring and also if you are able to help with selling the baked goods during the day or after school. Please do not bring in any food containing nuts and preferably send in cakes in a disposable container. We would prefer home made goods where possible. Children will be able to purchase baked treats during the school day and parents will be able to buy cakes after school ends. Children should bring 5QR and a small container to take away their items. The money we raise from this specific bake sale will be directed towards the music department and the formation of a DBS Wakra Rock Band. This will benefit all children and is something the children have asked for. The PTA has had a very successful year, thanks to the support of all parents, and is in the process of sourcing items that the children, through the school Council, have requested. We hope that some of these items (indoor play resources) will be in school and being used by our children before the end of term. Other items will be purchased during the school holiday ready for the new term. I hope you will support this event and if you are interested and have ideas for events next year or are interested in joining the PTA please give your name to Sharon in reception. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday 18 th May. Yours Sincerely, Beverley Stevens Head Teacher
