2010 GLAZIER CLINICDEFENSIVE BACK PLAY
STANCEInside Foot Back and both feet are perpendicular to the LOS.Feet are slightly less than shoulder width apart.75% of weight on the front foot.Ankles, knees, and hips are flexed.Back flat.Eyes up.Nose over your toes.Body is Relaxed.Arms are flexed at a 90 degree bend.
START1. Walk out2. Cross over3. Bounce
BACKPEDALKeep your feet underneath you at all times.Short Quick Steps.Feet should remain less than shoulder width apart.Arms remain bent at 90 degrees.Arm action is the throwing back of your elbow.Body should remain relaxed.Head should remain motionless.Weave with the receivers release keeping you shoulders square to the LOS.

Change up is the CATCH technique.
May be used because of alignment
READ STEPS Walk away then bounce.(Must be center man on your WR)
Treat your eyes the same.
PRESS MANALIGNMENT- Varies on the help you will receive and the split of the receiver.
READ STEPS Bounce or Catch
EYES:1. Bottom of Numbers2. Hip3. Thigh
This is a re route, you are not getting off a block.
Use your footwork and hand placement to make sure you dont close your hips.
