What I do:
I have 15 years of experience writing and editing web copy, marketing content, reports, articles, and books. Working with agencies, businesses, and individuals, I specialize in turning complex or potentially dry source material into compelling content.
Some notable projects:
Article editing for Facebook: I work with Facebook product designers and content strategists to develop and edit “Elegant Tools,” an ongoing series of articles about business software design published on Medium.
Book ghostwriting and editing. Ghostwrote and edited nonfiction books for a prominent publishing house, working with authors and project managers to turn troubled manuscripts into compelling books.
Lifestyle articles for Samsung: Led a team of writers to produce useful articles for Samsung.com. Wrote articles and edited other team members’ work to ensure a consistent and persuasive voice. Met the challenge of conveying the benefits of Samsung products without alienating readers with a hard sell.
Feature articles for Robert Half International: Ghostwrote two hundred bylined articles for a leading professional staffing firm. Articles appeared all around the web and in several print publications. Topics included technology and employment trends, career advice, and workplace politics.
Linux newsletters for HP. Interviewed developers and other experts about open-source software innovations for HP’s Linux email newsletter. Translated intricate subjects into articles that captured and rewarded the attention of both technical and business readers.
Book editing for Mach Media. Over the course of two weeks, largely rewrote a book-length manuscript by a noted technology entrepreneur and TED speaker. Helped transform a rough document—much of it transcribed from taped interviews—into a coherent book.
Blogging for AGIS.com. Wrote and edited blog posts about the challenges of eldercare; helped create a useful and compassionate resource for caregivers.
