Serial Numbers tell us a lot of information about your system.Not only can we determine when your system was sold butwe can also distinguish what model you have, what revision level the system is, and where in the world it was sold from. System Serial Numbers

Serial numbers consist of 2 to 3 designators.

The first designator is called the prefix. The prefix signifies what model of a system you have.

The second designator is called theSuffix and always contains6 Digits. This tells us whenthe unit was made.

Location of the Serial NumberYou can find the serial number on all of our systems onthe rear panel of the power supply. The Data Tag is located inthe rear corner of the unit, near the power cord.

Date Codes and Batch NumbersOn most consumables, torch bodies, and PC boards we incorporate a 3 digit code. This code helps us determinethe age and revision of the part.

Date codes consist of 3 digits. The first 2 digits represents the week number and the thirddigit represents the year in which the product was made. 077 = 7th week of 1997528 = 52nd Week of 1998019 = 1st week of 1999

Printed Circuit BoardsPCBs are slightly different. The date code tells uswhich revision the board is and the date of manufacturing.OrPlease provide the revisionand the serial number.
