standards at KS3 and KS4 and CAT scores FFT trust looks at prior data from Key Stage 2 would

attain at Key stage 2 and then projects what that student could get at Key Stage 3 and at Key Stage 4. For this year based on Key stage 2 Predictions we have reached our Key stage 4 goal however because of our high levels at Key stage 3 we never make our goal at Key stage 4 as these results inflate our key stage 4 figures.

FFTb and FFTd. The first criteria is putting our school at the 50th percentile of similar performing schools. The second is the 25th percentile of similar performing school

This is a live website and changes the predictions of cohorts/ curriculum years when more results are in. We use the KS2 / KS3 and CAT scores to assist our school predictions. FFT uses the key stage scores to help it predict what we will get at KS3 / KS4.

This looks at our own schools previous three year history and projects forward their results. However unlike FFT it does not look at an individual student. However Rol looks at forward projections of results going up , nationally results went down for the first year so for the first time their forecasts will have to allow for this.

RoL

For the first time , we want to use the CAT score test to determine predictions at KS3 and KS4. We have always tested the students before and used KS2 to determine our predictions, the CAT test this year will have a greater bearing on forward projection. However we will still have to use the KS2 teacher assessment level as well but we intend to use the CAT data a lot more.

If we are to be outstanding than we have to aim for

the 25th percentile rank of similar schools in both FFTd and ROL. It is our results that need improving and WE HAVE TO BELIEVE.

How did you give your 10 targets out last week to your students? Did you spend the necessary time on it, or was it just an exercise. You as HoS have to lead from the front and provide the inspiration and guidance for these targets to be reached for students and STAFF.

From Key Stage 2 to Key stage 3. Two full

Levels are expected from a students

From Key 2 to Key stage 4. Three progress Levels are expected for Maths, English and Science.

Government floor targets ( This primarily what we have used this

year)

We base this on FFT Science sets Health and Social Care FFT Creative Arts sets Music, Drama and

Digital photography FFT Humanities sets RE, Travel and tourism

and Business Studies. FFT Design Tech sets Resistant Materials and

Food

Subjects that don’t have a target grade

Yr 10 targets have been negotiated Yr 8 End of year targets and their year 9 targets have

been negotiated. Yr 7 will come soon after the results for the CAT tests

are delivered

From previous Year Non Negotiated Current year 9 and current year 11. After this

curriculum year the targets for each year will have been negotiated. Which will be a first in the schools history.

As a teacher you can quickly analyse the performance of your own group.

Yes we do have donna for this but in conversations with your line manager particularly at performance review meetings, you have the tools to be able to do this.

Level 7+ School Measure Residual Performance indicator +1 1 above target grade, 0 on

target and – 1 below target. You could have more +2 +3 or even -2 ,-3 dependent on what grade a student gets.

Decimal performance indicator is the summation of the RPI divided by the number of students in your group.
