&huvaneshvari, 'hinnamasta, &hairavi, Dhumavati,&a!alamukhi, atan!i, and #amala. These tenaspects of Shakti are the epitome of the entirecreation. 'hapter () also outlines their consorts,althou!h Dhumavati, the widow form, is notallocated a consort.

There are several *levels+ at which these Devis can"e worshiped with the prescri"ed antra and antra.

ike a simple worship of the yantra with the mantrarecitation, as a remedial astrolo!ical measure,ela"orate worship with all tantrak rituals forattainin! various siddhis associated with thesetantras and for spiritual salvation.

Successful sadhana of these Vidyas !ives several"oons to the practitioner. The Tantrik- o!i who hascontrol over his senses and positively inclined usesthe "oons to !uide people and for the "enefit ofmankind. *2ow I speak of the ritual injunction which is the all-nectar-!iver of the Devi. Doin! this, a person"ecomes like &hairava.

*:irstly, I speak of yantra, the knowin! of which con uers death. ;t first draw a trian!le. Outside, drawanother. Then draw three more trian!les. *Draw a circle and then a "eautiful lotus. Then draw anothercircle and then a "hupura with four lines and four doors. This is how the cakra should "e drawn.

*<orship the !uru line, the si= lim"s, and the dikpalas $The ei!ht, or accordin! to some, ten !uardiansof the directions, ed.%. Then the mantrin should place his head at the feet of the !uru.

*O dearest one, after worshippin! the pedestal, set down the offerin!. 3lace the mantra in the si=lim"s. Then, within the heart lotus, the ultimate #ala "lossoms.

*3lace her in the centre of the yantra "y invokin! her $via the "reath%. ;fter meditatin! on the !reat!oddess, dedicate the ritual offerin!s. &ow to ahadevi and then worship the surroundin! deities.

*1ive food and so forth to the Devi a!ain and a!ain. The sadhaka should offer flame ten times. So alsohe should offer flower with mantra accordin! to the rules of ritual.

*;fter meditatin! on Devi, recite the mantra (,))? times. The fruit of recitin!, which is li!ht, place inthe hands of the Devi.

'hakra pooja or antra pooja is the worship of a deity in a dia!rammatic form. This type of worshipe=ists in a lot of the other parts of the world also.

The worship of Devi in Shreechakra is re!arded as the hi!hest form of the Devi worship. Ori!inallyord Shiva !ave BC 'hakras and their antras to the world, to attain various spiritual and material

"enefits. :or his consort Devi he !ave the Shreechakra and the hi!hly coveted and the most powerfulShodashakshari mantra, which is the e uivalent of all the other BC put to!ether.

It is said that in the "e!innin! 1od, who was one, wanted to "ecome many and enjoy himself. ;s thefirst step to creation he created Devi 7 the total cosmic :emale force. :or the male part, out of his lefthe created Shiva, out of his middle he created &rahma and out of his ri!ht he created Vishnu. That iswhy many re!ard the Devi as more powerful than the Trinities and hence She is called 3arashakti or3aradevi 7 3ara meanin! "eyond . &rahma created the universe.

Vishnu controls and runs the universe. Shiva alon! with Shakti is en!a!ed in the eternal dissolutionand recreation of the universe. The &indu in the center of the Shreechakra is the sym"olicrepresentation of the cosmic spiritual union of Shiva and Shakti. ;part from that the Shreechakra alsoem"odies countless num"er of deities and represents the whole of creation. @ence "y worshippin! theDevi in Shreechakra one is actually worshippin! the hi!hest ultimate force in the Tantrik form.

The Shodashakshari mantra is one of the most !uarded secretes of tantra. >sually the 1uru !ives it toa hi!hly deservin! and tested disciple. Very few !et it. 9ven in the antra Shastra, where all othermantras are openly and clearly !iven, the Shodashakshari antra is not directly !iven. Several hintsa"out the mantra are !iven and you are asked to !et the mantra if you are capa"le and deservin!.The openin! versus of the mantra shastra chapter on Shreechakra says, * our head can "e !iven, yoursoul can "e !iven "ut the Shodashakshari antra of the Devi can not "e !iven+.

Various "ooks and we"sites on Shreechakra have pu"lished what the pu"lishers thou!ht is theShodashakshari antra. et me make it clear that those who know it will never pu"lish it and thosewho pu"lish it do not know it. So don/t waste your full moon ni!hts chantin! those lon! mantras.

There are several traditions ofthe worshippin! the Shreechakra. <e are !ivin! here a very simple and still very effective pooja ofShreechakra. It is known as the Shreechakra 2avavarana pooja as per the #had!amala Vidhi. :or allround spiritual and material "enefits it is a hi!hly effective pooja. ;ny one can perform it.

&a!ala or &a!alamukhi is the ei!hth ahavidya in the famous series of the () ahavidyas.She isidentified with the second ni!ht of coura!e and is the power or Shakti of cruelty.

She is descri"ed as the Devi with three eyes, wearin! yellow clothes and !ems, moon as her diadem,wearin! champaka "lossoms, with one hand holdin! the ton!ue of an enemy and with the left handspikin! him, thus should you meditate on the paralyser of the three worlds.

&a!alamukhi means *The 'rane-@eaded One+. This "ird is thou!ht of as the essence of deceit. Sherules ma!ic for the suppression of an enemy/s !ossip. These enemies also have an inner meanin!, andthe pe! she puts throu!h the ton!ue may "e construed as a pe! or paralysis of our own prattlin! talk.She rules deceit which is at the heart of most speech. She can in this sense "e considered as a terri"leor &hairavi form of atrika Devi, the mother of all speech. ;ccordin! to Todala Tantra, her maleconsort is aharudra.

Seated on the ri!ht of &a!ala is the aharudra, with one face, who dissolves the universe.
