The arrest warrant for a 49-year-old Macon woman reveals the details behind what police called the "suspicious death" of her 11-year-old granddaughter. Police say the paternal biological grandmother, Cynthia McCleskey-Baldwin, has been charged with first degree cruelty to children, felony cruelty to children and felony murder.According to the arrest warrants, the autopsy performed on Ruth Baldwin revealed "a history of blunt force trauma" covered up to 80-percent of her chest and abdomen, 60-percent of her legs, 30-percent of her arms and 10-percent to her face.Recent blunt force trauma to her face and chest was also detected by the post mortem exam. Some of the injuries were caused by McClesky-Baldwin whipping her granddaughter with a cord, leaving lacerations and whelp marks.TRANSCRIPT
