Wallet Walk ThroughWallet Overview

The CybCSec wallet overview is the very first interface screen you will see when you load your wallet. This overview will show you the following:

Total Balance of XCS Coins: Shows you the amount of XCS you have in your wallet (if any).

Balances: Shows you the amount of coins you have in both your public and staking cat-egories.

Recent Transactions: Shows you your staking history, sending and receiving coins histories also.

Top Right Hand Icons

TOR: Shows if you are connected to the TOR network or not. Always ensure you are con-nected to the TOR network before conducting any wallet activities.

Wallet Lock/Unlock: We suggest that you en-crypt (lock) your wallet at all times to protect your wallet from being compromised. Only you can do this. Also, you cannot stake with a locked wallet so please note this.

CybCSec Icon: This icon when you hover over it shows your staking information such as; weight, network weight and expected time to receive staking rewards. The icon itself will be in blue colour if staking is active.

Connection: This icon lets you see how many active connections are in the CybCSec com-munity. These connections are in real time.

Tick: Shows you how many blocks of transac-tions history have been completed to date.

Chat Bubble: When clicked opens up the se-cure message feature. More will be discussed about this in the ‘Secure Messaging’ page.

Send Payment: Allows you to quickly send payments when needed.

Wallet

By clicking ‘Wallet’ on the left hand side of your wallet menu, three drop down options show:

Send: This page allows you to send XCS pub-lically or privately under the ‘Make Payment’ tab. Place the wallet address of the person you wish to send XCS to in the ‘Pay To’ field, enter a label or destination name, descrip-tion in the ‘Narration’ field, and amount in the ‘Amount’ field and click ‘Send Payment’.

Receive: Contains two labels, their corre-sponding Addresses and Public Keys. The first label contains your Default Wallet Address and its associated Public Key. The second label contains your Default Stealth Address primar-ily used for the Secure Messaging feature. You can search for labels at the top also that you may have previously saved and filter them by clicking on the drop down menu at the top of the page. The Show QR Code feature is also there at the bottom if you require it.

Transactions: This screen shows you all your transactions including Staking information and any coins you may have sent or received. By hovering over the transaction icons you will see more information about what has ma-tured or still remains immature.

Address Book: Shows you any saved labels or addresses you may have done whether through sending or receiving coins or via Se-cure Messaging. You can add, delete or filter entries as you require.

Chat

The chat screen is very straight forward. It will normally hold the previous conversation you had with the last label or wallet holder. In or-der to use this feature you will need to go to the ‘Secure Message’ section in the back of-fice to learn more about setting up chatting.

You can chat in two modes; Anonymous or Default. As the chat is text based, any images or links shared must be in html format as our blockchain does not currently support direct images or links. Once you have set your chat up, you can send messages by simply press-ing the return key on your keyboard.

Options

This screen allows you to customize your wal-let to suit your preferences under four main tabs; Main, Network, Window and Display. We suggest that you only work within the Main tab unless you are very experienced with the wal-let. The default settings are suitable for what you need to do.

We suggest that you leave everything on the Main tab also, again, unless you are highly experienced with wallets and know what you are doing, however please ensure that you ‘Secure Messaging’ and ‘Staking’ are always enabled by checking the box.

Wallet Management

The Wallet Management drops down to three options:

Add New Wallet: Allows you to create another wallets inside the CybCSec main wallet. This wallet can be used for different functions as you chose. Additional wallets can be used for separate payments to specific vendors or in-dividuals. All that is required is a ‘Wallet Name’ and ‘Password’ and to follow the simple in-structions. When you’ve successfully created another wallet, you will see it in your wallets section under the name you assigned to it. You will need to copy and save the generated passphrase in order to complete this action and also you will need to unlock (encrypt your wallet). To encrypt simply double click on the wallet icon at the top of your wallet screen.

Import Wallet: Importing a wallet is a very similar process to creating a new wallet. There is no need for users to do this unless you wish to use the same wallet name but generate different addresses. In this case you can import new wallets under the same wal-let names using your password and saved passphrase which you should have already done from creating your new wallet. Once you’ve successfully imported your wallet, you will see it in your wallet section under the re-ceive option with different default and stealth addresses.

Advanced: This section simply gives you a quick snapshot view of all your wallets and associated addresses and keys. You can manage all your wallets from this section by setting up a default wallet, activating or de-activating or setting up one of your wallets as a Master wallet. This again is for more ad-vanced wallet users.

Backup

This section has three options:

Backup Wallet: All wallet users should back up their wallet as soon as they can to pro-tect them from losing their coins or important wallet data. We recommend all users do this. By clicking Backup Wallet you will be prompt-ed to save your wallet to a folder destination on your device. Chose a location where you will easily remember and name it according-ly. The file will be saved as a .dat file.

Change Passphrase: You can change your previously generated passphrases here by entering the old one first and then your desired new one. Please save this new passphrase somewhere safe so you can easily retrieve it to carry out any desired wallet changes.

Unlock Wallet: You can Unlock or Lock your wallet from this section in the wallet. It is ad-visable that all wallet holders unlock (encrypt) their wallets as soon as they successfully in-stall them. You also need your wallet unlocked in order to stake. Again, please save your password somewhere safe so you can run your wallet without worry.

Tools

The Tools section drops down six menu op-tions:

Chain Data: Shows five chain data type val-ues regarding your XCS coins.

Block Explorer: Presents your most recent lat-est Block Explorer stats under four parame-ters.

Sign Messages: Allows users to sign messag-es with their addresses proving they own the XCS addresses. It is strongly suggested that you do not sign anything too vague as this may be construed to try and get your identi-ty by certain phishing activities. This feature is for more advanced users.

Verify Messages: This allows users to verify that others are in fact in control of the address they purport to use. It is advisable that users always ensure that whoever they are doing business or transacting coins with know that the other party is the true owner of the wallet address they are using.

Debug: This particular data screen contains very specific CybCSec technical data and command prompts. We urge that only ad-vanced users use this option to check more detailed data about their wallets.

About CybCSec: Contains development soft-ware data about the CybCSec wallet. Only used for information purposes.

About QT: Shows an overview of what the QT open source software is as it is employed by the CybCSec developer.
