What we learn’t

Low bandwidth for input data does not mean « easy to process »

Very low data volume to process each day : ~ 10 MB / day …

… but very high compression ratio

~ 10 millions of objects to process per day

• Time interpolation for data timestamping ;

• Complex scientific algorithms on each object

Must be carrefully handled in Python data processing code

• Memory Management

• Single object structure and denormalization

Best solution to reduce time processing is to not perform processing at all !!

• Find workaround to not apply a processsing on each objects

FIMOC has been operational since 2012

Maintenance ensured by Capgemini ;

No martian has been found yet !!

… but a lot of knowledge acquired about Mars environment
