Situation: I was running short of money at University.Task: To find out what I spending my money on so I knew where to cut back.Action: For 2 weeks I carefully tracked my money expenditure using an EXCEL spreadsheet. This helped me identify that most of it was going on food and drinks in cafes at lunch time. It also highlighted that I really needed more income to make sure that I didn’t get in to this situation again.Result: I started making myself lunches rather than using the campus cafes, and also applied for several part-time jobs. Luckily, I got a job fairly quickly!
