  • Proprietile lubrifianilor

    Emisiile de hidrocarburi nearse i de particule sunt influenate de prezena lubrifiantului n camera de ardere.n primul rnd contribuia lubrifiantului la emisia de HC se manifest la motorul cu aprindere prin scnteie prin absorbia hidrocarburilor combustibilului pe timpul admisiei i compresiei i desorbiei acestora pe timpul cursei de evacuare, efectul este cu att mai pronunat cu ct amestecul este mai srac. Prezena particulelor n gazele de evacuare ale motoarelor cu aprindere prin scnteie este pus n principal pe seama arderii lubrifiantului din camera de ardere.La motorul Diesel arderea lubrifiantului contribuie la ridicarea nivelului de particule emis n gazele de evacuare (se apreciaz c la motoarele uzate o treime din cantitatea de particule emise sunt datorate lubrifiantului).Gazele de carter

    n carterul motorului, datorit etaneitii imperfecte al cuplului de piese cilindru-segmeni-piston, tija de supap-ghid, ajung amestecuri de gaze a cror compoziie depinde de tipul motorului i de timpii de funcionare ai motorului. Gazele de carter conin hidrocarburi nearse i produi n diferite stadii de ardere.Eliminarea influenei acestor gaze se realizeaz prin reintroducerea lor n camera de ardere. Circuitul de reintroducere al gazelor de carter n camera de ardere este n general controlat de dispozitive care in seama de regimul de funcionare al motorului, i dispozitive de separare a picturilor de ulei.

  • Emisii evaporative

    Emisiile de hidrocarburi prin evaporare sunt independente de emisiile de hidrocarburi din gazele de evacuare i gazele de carter.Aceste pierderi sunt datorate urmtoarelor cauze: pierderi prin neetaneitile instalaiei de alimentare; pierderi datorate rezervorului de combustibil; pierderi datorate realimentrii autovehiculului cu combustibil.

    n cazul sistemului de alimentare cu carburator pierderile de hidrocarburi sunt proporionale cu volumul camerei de nivel constant, presiunea de admisie i temperatura pereilor camerei de nivel constant.Prevenirea emisiei de hidrocarburi n atmosfer se realizeaz prin plasarea pe autovehicul a unui rezervor absorbant prevzut cu crbune activ. Acest rezervor este legat n zona vaporilor de la carburator i la rezervor. Crbunele utilizat este obinut prin piroliza mangalului activat prin tratament chimic cu acid fosforic la aproximativ 500C. Aria suprafeei specifice a crbunelui, volumul i mrimea porilor patului de crbune trebuie astfel ales nct s permit absorbia i desorbia hidrocarburilor (se consider c 100g de crbune activ poate stoca 5g HC).Legarea spaiului de vapori ai rezervorului de combustibil la rezervorul absorbant se realizeaz prin intermediul unui separator gaz/lichid care permite rentoarcerea picturilor de combustibil spre rezervor, totodat este prevzut cu un orificiu calibrat care previne saturarea rapid a carbonului activ.

  • Procesul de absorbie este exotermic, iar desorbia este endotermic. n regiunile reci pentru a iniia i susine procesul de desorbie este necesar un sistem electronic de nclzire a rezervorului de absorbie. n regimurile cu climat cald eficiena absorbiei este mult mai sczut i se pune problema mririi cantitii de crbune activ pentru a absorbi ntreaga cantitate de vapori.O alt msur pentru limitarea evaporrii combustibilului o constituie montarea unor plci termice n jurul carburatorului care s protejeze camera de nivel constant de radiaia de cldur de la colectorul de evacuare.Utilizarea unor camere de nivel constant din material plastic limiteaz conducia de cldur la benzina aflat n carburator. Realimentarea rezervorului constituie o surs important de emisii de HC. Limitarea emisiei de vapori de HC se poate realiza prin intermediul rezervorului absorbant de la bordul autovehiculului sau prin dispozitive specializate ale pompelor de combustibil care s preia 60 pn la 99% din vaporii rezultai.

  • Temperatura mediului ambiant

    La o prim analiz introducerea n motor a unei ncrcturi proaspete la un nivel de temperatur al aerului sczut ar trebui s mbunteasc performanele ecologice, datorit srcirii amestecului sub efectul unei densiti mai ridicate. n realitate un nivel sczut al temperaturii mediului ambiant influeneaz negativ asupra vaporizrii combustibilului ceea ce nrutete calitatea amestecului aer-combustibil. Pentru a se realiza un amestec n limitele de inflamabilitate la pornire i stabilitatea n funcionarea motorului pn la atingerea temperaturii de regim (80-90C) a lichidului de rcire, amestecul trebuie mbogit att prin intermediul unor dispozitive specializate n mrirea cantitii de combustibil introduse pe ciclu, n aceste condiii este de ateptat ca emisiile de HC i CO s creasc.Se apreciaz c pentru atingerea temperaturii de regim a lichidului de rcire sunt necesare 4 minute de la temperatura de 20C i de peste 8 minute de la temperatura de 20C. n acest interval de timp de nclzire al motorului grosimea stratului rece din camera de ardere are valori ridicate ceea ce afecteaz negativ emisiile de hidrocarburi nearse i de oxid de carbon. Una din msurile pentru mbuntirea calitilor de pornire ale motorului n climat rece este creterea cantitii de fraciuni uoare din combustibil care conduce la creterea nivelului de HC emise. Efectul temperaturilor sczute asupra emisiilor este amplificat prin durata scurt a deplasrilor. Studii efectuate n Frana au scos n eviden c 40% din cltorii nu depesc 2 km care corespund cu 27% din timpul de funcionare cu amestec bogat. n ciclul ECE cu pornire la rece la 20C, 77% din totalul emisiilor de HC sunt n primul sfert al ciclului pe cnd n ultimul sfert al ciclului emisiile de HC reprezint numai 3% din total.

  • n anotimpul rece temperaturile de pornire i funcionare ale motorului sunt inferioare valorii de 20C. n primele 40 de secunde ale ciclului EEC 15 creterea emisiilor de HC este de 31% la pornirea la 5C i de 62% la 10C fa de cazul pornirii la 20C. Creterea emisiilor de CO este de 6% iar NOx rmn neschimbate.Emisiile de HC sunt mai pronunate la sistemele de alimentare cu carburator i injecie monopunct fa de sistemele de injecie multipunct ntruct o cantitate de combustibil se depune pe pereii colectorului de admisie n stare lichid, acesta ajunge n cilindru, se evapor dar nu are timp s ard i ajunge n gazele de evacuare.Pentru a limita efectele temperaturii mediului ambiant asupra emisiilor poluante se propune la motorul cu aprindere prin scnteie plasarea n colectorul de admisie a unor sisteme de nclzire electrice, sisteme de nclzire cu lichid sau cu gaze arse.Motorul Diesel este mult mai puin sensibil la pornirea la temperaturi ale mediului cuprinse ntre 24 i 7C. Emisiile de HC i CO pentru acest interval de temperatur cresc uor cu scderea temperaturii mediului ambiant datorit creterii grosimii stratului rece din camera de ardere. Emisiile de NOx cresc cu 33% ncepnd cu 27 C la 7 C.Masa particulelor crete uor cu scderea temperaturii mediului ambiant, explicaia fiind absorbia de combustibil nears pe particulele formate. La scderea temperaturii mediului ambiant emisiile de formaldehide cresc.
