Meet Curious Charlie Hunter

Private Charlie Hunter is fighting during the First World War. He is far from home on the front line in France and is keen to share his fond memories of pre-war Salford.

After meeting Charlie Hunter your pupils will join up to fight in the war to end all wars. Through an interactive workshop your pupils will travel to First World War France, learn about fighting conditions and make trench slime!

After a break for packed lunches and a chance to visit the museum shop your pupils will delve deep into the past and explore the museum with our expert tour guide.

All this is FREE to Salford Primary Schools, aimed at Key Stage 2 and

funded by Booth Charities. This funding also covers the cost of the

coach from your school to the museum and back.
