Facts about Dales life

• Born in Kannapolis, NC• On April 29• Ralph Lee Earnhardt was his dad• Started racing when he was a late teen• He would weld tires on his dad’s car

when he was a teen• If he was not welding he would be racing

Achievements

• In 1979 he was the NASCAR Rookie of the Year

• With in 15 years he won 7 championships

• In his career he won 76 NASCAR races

• Out of many drivers he was one of the best NASCAR driver

• He was often times called the Intimidator because he intimidated most of his opponents

• He won 9 races at Bristol Motor Speedway

• He was so good they made a rollercoaster for him

Dale’s Death• Not only did his fans think he was

going to break a world record of 8 championships in a row

• But was tragically killed in the 4th turn at Daytona 500 in 2001

• Dale was survived by his wife Teresa, his mother Martha and his four children Kerry, Kelly, Dale Jr. and Taylor

• Almost everyone in America mourned the passing of Dale Earnhardt.
