Pallasos en Rebeldía (Clowns in Rebellion)A not-for-profit social Clown project. A team of Clowns and musicians travel to remote, war-torn or poverty stricken areas in Chiapas (Mexico), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Palestine where the dignity of the people has been broken. Clowns in Rebellion, uses laughter and Clown training with battered women, adolescents, health professionals and children at risk.www.pallasosenrebeldia.org

Introduction to the director Ivan PradoIvan Prado is the spokesperson for Clowns in Rebellion and a co-founder of Artist Against The Wall with Leo Bassi and Patch Adams. As Director of Culturactiva Ivan established the following international Clown festivals: FestiClown, the largest Clown festival in Spain, MagiClown (Ibiza), and FiraClown (Barcelona). He has been trained by some of the best Clown masters in the world: Leo Bassi, Carlo Colombaioni, Johnny Melville, and Philippe Gaulier, among others. He has directed shows and performed as a Clown throughout Europe, as well as Mexico, Sahara, Venezuela, Brazil and Palestine. He established the first Clown company in Galicia, Os Magnificent 7 + 1. He has created the Clowns in Rebellion project which takes groups of Clowns and musicians to remote, war-torn or poverty stricken areas in Chiapas (Mexico), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Palestine. He has performed and taught in several countries and throughout Spain, which has lead him to develop his own Clown methodology for training. And in 2011 he established the first Clown Festival in the Arab world Palestine FestiClown 2011.
