• Pavement Condition – Pavement Condition Index of 42 (100 being new) – Present Serviceability Rating of 2.36 (5 being flawless)

Project Need

• Safety needs – Vehicle crash data

• 83 crashes over three years • 69 crashes at intersections • 55% rear-end crashes • 27% left turn/right angle • 10% Side-swipe

• Traffic forecasts – Current volumes – 10,000-12,000 ADT – Forecast volumes – 1 to 2% annual growth

• Pedestrian/Bicycle Needs – Clear Springs Elementary &

Hanus Road intersection • Pedestrian access • Vehicle capacity issues

– Lacking trail/walk connectivity and crossings

– 2 pedestrian/bike crashes with vehicles over three years
