SUMMARY 25+ Years of skills and leadership being a Team Lead, Creative Director, Program & Project Manager of Custom Visualization, Simulation and Training applications. I am not only able to recognize industry setting trends, but build the teams to organize, execute, and deliver uniquely specific applications for customers that exceed their expectations while maintaining each project’s budget, timeline, and high quality of customer service.

My key ability: To look at seemingly disparate technologies (Hardware and Software), apply them to a previously undefined customer need, and consistently develop first-of-a-kind cohesive solutions that can be rapidly developed to surpass the customer's expectations.

EDUCATION Bachelor of Architecture California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo – Graduated 1993 Special Focus: Computer Aided Design, Visualization and Simulation

STRENGHTS Achiever – constant drive and motivation for accomplishing tasks Ideation – adept at seeing underlying concepts that unite disparate ideas Futuristic – keen sense of using an eye towards the future to drive today's success Strategic – able to see a clear direction through the complexity of a situation Relator – finds deep satisfaction in working hard as part of a team to achieve a goal

PHILOSOPHY Team Building – When building a team from scratch, I believe it is very important that each team member is strong within their field of expertise, but is also willing to go outside their comfort zone to help others for the overall benefit of the team. Every Team Member is important, and review/reward structures should be in place to prevent each member from feeling the pressure to put others down to make themselves appear more worthy to Management.

Partner / Client Negotiations – I strongly believe that in any / all negotiations the key is to develop a truly win-win relationship, as these will always result in follow on projects and increased profits over time. This is achieved by simply and truly listening and adapting to meet their needs. When it comes to developing custom solutions, usually on short production timelines, one size (or solution) does not fit all. However, with today’s modular approach to development, the time required to develop customer applications can be greatly reduced.

EXPERIENCE Pavonis – PIX (Property Immersion Xperience) 2014 – Present Under my leadership, within the Pavonis Group I spearheaded and developed the "PIX-Team" to provide effective immersive and interactive experiences to reduce the sales cycles in the Real Estate and Brokerage industries. Both Internal and External Team Members were spread across the US and Vietnam.

GSE Systems, Inc. 2010 – 2014 November 2010 - 2014 Under my leadership, within GSE Systems I spearheaded and developed the "3Di-Team" to provide effective Visualization, Simulation, and Training applications for the Civilian Nuclear and other Energy-Related Industries. Our clients and team members were all Global in nature.

Lockheed Martin – Virtual World Labs 2007 – 2010 November 2010 - 2014 3Dsolve was acquired by Lockheed Martin in August of 2007. Although my role had not changed, its expanse had greatly broadened – promoting the use of advanced Game-based technologies to improve the effectiveness while reducing the cost of Training and Massive Data Visualization for Military, Government and select Corporate Clients. Internal Team Members, Partners and Clients were spread around the Globe.

3Dsolve, Inc. 2005 – 2007 November 2010 - 2014 Within 3Dsolve (a sister organization under the Virtus Group) I not only developed new clients in the Corporate, Military, Government and Industrial sectors, but oversaw the projects from documentation to production and delivery. Our Simulation-Learning technologies covered a broad and diverse range of capabilities – from massive multi-user immersive training environments to single-person task or scenario-based training. Our team was the FIRST to integrate a real-world nuclear control room simulator with a virtual submarine engineering space using the Unreal 2004 game engine. The virtual environment included 1,000s of interactive valves, switches, gauges, and alarms, all of which responded within milliseconds of the real-world control room simulator.

2Cin3D (To See in 3D) 2001 – 2005 While NxView Technologies (a sister organization under the Virtus Group) was shuttering its business the week of 9/11, I negotiated with the executives to allow a handful of the remaining employees to complete the currently active projects as contractors of a new business I launched that week. Our repeat clients included IBM, Dell, Avocent, and Unisys to name a few.

November 2010 – 2014 I not only developed new clients in the Corporate, Military, Government and Industrial sectors, but oversaw the projects from choo

NxView Technologies 1999 – 2001 NxView Technologies acquired Virtual Alchemy Studios in 1999 (my first startup business launched in Santa Cruz, CA in 1995). The key point of interest was the fact that our team was able to use NxView’s technologies to deliver custom applications to Fortune 100 companies more successfully than the internal production team at NxView. My first task was to salvage a training project for the installation and calibration of the IBM Home Director Product line, and NxView was not only months behind schedule, it was miles away from meeting either the client’s expectations or needs. By re-conducting the client’s needs analysis, properly documenting the scope of work not only for the client but our internal teams, and successfully managing the team while establishing new production processes – within 3 weeks, we were able to deliver the project on time and under budget (despite the fact that over 90% of the project resources were depleted before I relocated to Cary, NC as the Production Lead for NxView’s HQ office. Our team at NxView created the software rendering engine for the initial release of Shockwave-3D (v8.5), which at that time provide a faster frame rate than Intel’s hardware based video drivers.
