Understanding Toddler TwoReview We know that toddlers are egocentric, viewing the world from only theirperspectives. Learning about themselves as they are developing physically, mentally, andsocially. Toddler twos believe that everything has consciousness from books tobaby dolls, and balls to plates. Activities have to be developmentally appropriate for this age group. If nottoddlers will not be interested. Therefore, learning will not occur. Toddlers learn through organization and integration. Toddlers do not think like adults. They are becoming independent and self reliant. 9. OBJECTIVE TWO: KEY COMPONENTS OF TODDLERTWO LESSON PLANSAt the end of this tutorial, you will be able to identifythe ten key components of lessen planning fortoddlers with 100% accuracy. 10. Lesson planning for toddler two shouldincorporate activities that align with theirdevelopment.Remember toddlers do notthink like adults and view the world in theirperspectives only. For example nap time is always after lunch.Toddlers learn by organization and integrations. Activities should not be longer than 30 minutes. You do not want to losethe toddlers attention. Activities that are longer may not hold the attentionof the toddlers for long. Break up activities with free time or centers such as art, dramaticplay, blocks, etc. Use themes.
