A powerful way to assist you in choosing what you want for your life is called Life Mapping. In this exercise you consider what you want to see happen over your entire life span and beyond. You might notice that the Life Map experience is emotional for you --- that’s ok --- I encourage you to let it move you out of probability and into possibility. 1. Turn a large piece of paper horizontally (at least 11 X 17) 2. Draw a horizontal line across the middle of the page. This represents your LifeMap and might encompass some years prior to your birth and years after your death. 3. Toward the left end of the LifeMap put a dot and mark your birth. 4. Toward the right end of your LifeMap put a dot that indicates the time of your death. We don’t want to look at death but in taking urgent action it is vital to take into account an honest evaluation of the facts of your life. Am I a workaholic? Am I over weight? Do I know how to relax? What is the health, environmental, and genetic factors surrounding me. Do I always wear my seatbelt? Am I willing to go to the doctor and have a breast exam etc.? 5. STOP – take a space of time and allow your death LifeMap location to sink in. 6. Place a dot on your map to represent today’s date. 7. Next place dots and label some of the significant events from your past. (spend 10 minutes on this step – not only writing but considering both the ups and downs of your journey so far.)

8. NOW—YOU ARE READY --- IT’S TIME TO FutureMap™ 9. Finish the exercise by placing dots that reflect the legacy you want to leave behind. example: my great grand children graduate from college – world peace exists etc.
