Cost of Loft Conversion

We have been living in our house now for more than 10 years now, we like where we live and don't really want to move but we have 2 kids now and we need at least one more bedroom. So after thinking about this situation we have been looking into a loft conversion, so I looked into the loft and there is plenty of space and headroom up there so we can do the conversion. So now we need some loft ideas and the cost of a loft conversion, so we invited a couple of builders to come round to the house and give us the information we need and for us to see if we like them and there ideas. Well the builders came round and went through what we need and what is possible and the costs involved and who we would like to do the job. So we decided on one particular builder and we checked him out online and looked at a couple of his jobs and agreed a price and a starting date and left the details of dealing with the council and building regulation to him. And so We now have the job of choosing a bathroom and the bedroom furniture and also the decorating and flooring, this is fun and the wife just loves spending money. well the builders are starting the job next week and we are so pleased the day has come and they can at last get going with the job. We knew they would be making a mess but they put dust sheets where needed and they have been really thoughtful about keeping the mess down to a minimum. Well at last they have finished the job and it was a good idea to keep an eye on the cost of loft conversion because that side of it is spot on, and the loft ideas that the builders came up with was also spot on. We are now decorating the bedroom and bathroom and the other areas that now need decorating. We should finish decorating in about 2 weeks and then we need to put the curtains and carpets in and the bedroom furniture and we shall be there. We are so pleased we went ahead with the loft conversion, it has added value to our house and we just love the extra space we now have, even with the cost of loft conversion we have made money and we just love the loft ideas the builders gave us.
