Contributor Notes

Andrea Ciliotta-Rubery is Assistant Professor of Political Scienceand International Studies at the State University of New York–Brock-port. She has published articles on Machiavelli’s impact on Chris-tianity in the Journal of Political Science, and PS: Political Science andPolitics among other publications.

Thomas F. Dailey, O.S.F.S., is Professor of Theology and foundingdirector of the Salesian Center for Faith and Culture, DeSales Uni-versity (Center Valley, Penn.), where he also is the faculty advisor totheir nationally ranked baseball team. Author of Praying with Francisde Sales, his current work engages the tradition of Salesian spiritual-ity, the teaching of John Paul II, and contemporary culture.

J. L. A. Garcia is Professor of Philosophy at Boston College. He isalso on the editorial board of Logos:A Journal of Catholic Thought andCulture. His work on normative ethical theory, consequentialism, axi-ology, action theory, medical ethics, and the intersection of race andphilosophy has appeared in dozens of philosophical journals, collec-tions, and reference works.

Lawrence F. Hundersmarck is Edward J. Mortola Professor ofReligion and Philosophy at Pace University in New York. He teachesreligion and philosophy and is author of numerous articles and stud-ies on the Renaissance and the Middle Ages, Eastern literature, andgreat thinkers of the Eastern and Western worlds.

Soo Yun Kang is Associate Professor of Art History at ChicagoState University. She is author of several articles on Rouault and

other artists. Her primary areas of research are Christian iconogra-phy and women artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

James Pereiro is a priest of the Opus Dei Prelature and holdsdegrees in history, theology, and education. He has written articlesin history and theology and is author of a biography on CardinalManning. He is currently chaplain of Grandpont House in Oxford,United Kingdom.

Elizabeth Rapley obtained her doctorate at the University ofOttawa. She has studied church history and theology in Canada andabroad. She has published two books on religious women of ancienrégime France: The Dévotes and A Social History of the Cloister.

George Weigel is John M. Olin Chair in Religion and AmericanDemocracy at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, where he is asenior fellow. The author or editor of fourteen books, he is one ofthe world’s leading commentators on Catholic issues. His book, Wit-ness to Hope:The Biography of Pope John Paul II, has been published ineight languages and is an international bestseller.

Joseph M. Zycinski is Professor of Philosophy at the Catholic Uni-versity of Lublin, Poland. He is also Archbishop of Lublin and GrandChancellor of the Catholic University of Lublin. He serves as amember of the European Academy of Science and Art, the Pontifi-cal Council for Culture, and the Russian Academy of Natural Sci-ences. He is author of nearly forty books in philosophy of science,relativistic cosmology, and the history of the relationship betweennatural sciences and Christian faith.
