Most of the contents page is taken up by a main image this is because the main article of the magazine will be about the guy on the contents page. The person on the picture has tattoos and wearing mainly black which fits the stereotype of a rock band member. With the image taking up most of the contents page it will be first thing that attracts the readers attention.

The contents page has the title of the magazine as the masthead with the date. This is so the reader knows what magazine they were reading and would know what magazine you where reading and what edition. Front covers of magazine can fall off after quite a bit of use so the title of the magazine is there so you can identify the magazine even if the front cover has come off.

Headings are bold/larger font size than the descriptive text so that it catches the audiences attention and so the audience can easily identify whats on each page.

House colours are black, blue and white. The white and black are to contrast each other making it stand out more.

The contents page for Rock Sound looks very professional and is clearly laid out this is to make it easy for the reader to find the relevant information on the page for them.
