BReAKAWAY ARRoWSAMS BreakAway arrows were designed with the alligator hunter in mind. By using our special collar system, you’ll tie a section of line to a small ring on the shaft and tie the end of the line to the point. cAutionARY note FoR SPin cASt ReeL uSeRS:Proper use of the AMS Safety Slide® with spin cast reels will prevent arrow snapback caused by the line tying itself to the bowstring. However, its use may allow you to forget to release the bail on your reel, which could cause another type of arrow snapback. Use a rod extension on your reel seat to help prevent this.

how the AMS SAFetY SLide® System Works With the slide installed over the arrow shaft and your line tied to the slide, draw the bow with the slide in front of the arrow rest. When the shot is taken, the arrow will move through the slide to the “shock” pad, taking your line to your fish. The line stays in front of the arrow rest at all times and ensures that your fish line will not tie itself to the bowstring, which can be the cause of arrow snapback! Recommended for arrow speeds of 145 fps or less.
