OLD CAMPGROUND CEMETERYCITY OF CONCORD, NC

DescriptionDuring my tenure with the City of Concord, NC, I prepared a few site specific design projects. The project marks the entry of a historic African American Cemetery that dates back to early 1800’s. One year prior to this project the property was overgrown with weeds and Kudzu. The goal of the project was provide a signature entrance for the facility. This project was funded through a grant from the Cannon Foundation in the amount of $30,000 and also utilized some scrap metal from a former public works building.
