The School of Communication and the Career Center are coming together to put on the 2nd School of Communications Career Fair. Date: April 16th, 2013 Time: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Place: Williams Football Stadium Tower (Third Level) Focus: The purpose of this event is to provide Liberty University School of Communication students and alumni the opportunity to network, apply and interview with local and national companies. Attendance: Open to all School of Communication Juniors, Seniors, Graduate students and alumni – bring several copies of your resume to hand out to the employers. Dress and Appearance: Business attire was required for entrance into the event.

DESCRIPTION OF COMPANYSince 1977, the National Journalism Center, a project of Young America’s Foundation, has provided aspiring journalists with the premier opportunity to learn the principles and practice of responsible reporting. The National Journalism Center combines 12 weeks of on-the-job training at a Washington, D.C.-based media outlet with once-weekly training seminars led by prominent journalists, policy experts, and NJC faculty.

One day a week is spent at NJC seminar, where interns learn the rudiments of journalism and gain a better understanding of media, society, and public policy, and the intersection between the three here in Washington, D.C. Internships are available in the fall, spring, and summer, and awardees receive $1,000 per month scholarship for the duration of their internship.
