Our owner, Donato Ammaturo, founded Ludoil in 1998, mainly dealing with the wholesale of diesel. Today we are one of the largestoil groups in Italy. We market and distribute petroleum products, gasoline and diesel, LPG and methane throughout the country. We incorporated the the Darm Petroli Group in 2001 to consolidate, in the company structure, the two most important sales channels: theRetail channel and the Wholesale channel. The Retail channel is made up of fuel petrol stations located mainly in southern Italy, while the Wholesale channel focuses on the activities of our bonded warehouse and the sale of refined products to private customers.
We work to acquire fuel distribution networks on the Italian market. With Ludoil Re we pursue a commercial policy with more than 150petrol stations under our brands - Ludoil, Staroil, Italfuel, Alteroil, Easy fuel - and under the Eni brand agreement. Between 2009 and 2011 we acquired 54 petrol stations from Shell and 22 from Q8.
In 2012 the Ludoil Group undertook a strategy aimed at the greeneconomy. Every year we promote green investments to build wind and photovoltaic farms with our subsidiary Windfinder. But alongside the green challenge, we have entered into agreementswith overseas governments, obtaining concessions for geophysical exploration for new oil extraction.

HISTORY
In 2014 we acquired from Unicredit the Sensi family assets of Italpetroli’s coastal deposits in Civitavecchia and Vibo Valentia. In the Civitavecchia bonded warehouse, various projects are underway to expand the terminal, such as a new container terminal, bio-component treatment and storage and a plant dedicated to the marketing of bitumen.
Energy activity is intertwined with fashion. In 2016 we invested in the relaunch of the haute couture brand Frankie Morello Milano,created for a young audience by designers Maurizio Modica and Pierfrancesco Gigliotti, loved by Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Belen Rodriguez, Fedez, Måneskin and many others. We are exclusive owners of the luxury brand Frankie Morello for men’s, women’s and children’s clothing worldwide. Ours is an ambitious goal: we aim at the growth of the brand through FMt, the NewCo Frankie Morello trademark, with a focus on the Italian and foreign markets, using an omni-channels strategy that generates engagement in the identified target.
We have acquired from Eni SpA the Jet Fuel warehouse in Civ-itavecchia and the oil pipeline to the Pantano di Grano warehouse, a hub for the sorting of aviation fuel for airports. In this way, we ensure a service for the storage and placing on board of Jet Fuel products for the international airports of Rome Fiumicino and Rome Ciampino, in accordance with the directives recommended by the JIG Standards, concerning the control of the quality of aviation fuel and related operating procedures. Since January 2020 Ludoil Energia is the main provider of maritime services and supply offuel oils for Bunker use in the port of Civitavecchia. We supply the major global cruise shipowners (MSC, Costa, GNV, Royal Carribean, NCL) in the port of Civitavecchia which, with more than 3,000 berths per year, is the port with the highest traffic in the Mediterranean.
The Ludoil Group, through Ludoil Energy Srl, owned by the Ammaturo family, is active both in the sale and in the logistics and distribution of oil products.
Sales are handled by Ludoil Energia s.r.l., while logistics on the various warehouses are handled by SO.DE.CO. s.r.l. The latter, in fact, holds the shares of the various companies that own and manage Ludoil’s oil assets.
The assets that make up the network of petrol stations owned by Ludoil belong to Ludoil Re Spa, a company associated with the group but outside the scope of the consolidation.

The Italian oil market has undergone profound transformations since 2000, with a drop inconsumption from around 95 million tonnes to 60 million tonnes: a reduction equal to the size of a leading company in the sector such as ENI.
Gasoline and fuel oils are the products that have suffered the greatest decline as a result of the general national energy efficiency, both for the spread of diesel or alternative combustion engines, such as methane and LPG, increasingly advanced, and for the conversion to alternative sources for the production of electricity on the national territory..
This transformation had a heavy impact on the refining sector, which based the balancing of production on these very products, not only generating excess production capacity in the Italian energy system, but also putting the manufacturing sector to the test due to the impossibility of effective use of the production plants. The consequence was the divestment or conversion of numerous refineries in Italy.

WHOLESALE MARKET
Thanks to Ludoil Energia, a Ludoil Group company operating in the wholesale fuel market, we have always paid particular attention to the demands of the varied market of independent petrol stations that buy fuel independently every day. We operate in the wholesale distribution of petroleum products, including all infrastructures and supply channels, other than that of the road distribution network. With an extensive network of commercial warehouses and dedicated fleets of tankers, we guarantee flexible and competitive distribution of fuels in the wholesale network, directly supplying sectors of vital importance to the Italian economic structure.
If you are also an independent operator and you are looking for the best quotation of the day, please contact the Ludoil offices on [email protected]: a manager will be happy to answer you and offer you the best offer for wholesale fuels.
Wholesale Market
Automotive diesel fuel is the ideal product for transporters and large users of diesel fuel. The oil company, in addition to marketing and distrib-uting diesel fuel, provides tanks on loan for use and ensures support for all authorization and maintenance practices.
Direct sale
Ludoil sells quality agricultural diesel, which is used as fuel in agricultural vehicles and as fuel for agricul-ture-related activities. The purchase and use of agricultural diesel is reserved for particular categories of enterprises engaged in agricultural and related work.
Applied to domestic or industrial heating, diesel fuel provides many advantages. It is cheap - it is a fuel that burns more quickly and efficiently - and safe: a leak of diesel fuel, in its liquid state, is not flammable and does not produce polluting emissions.
Have you ever thought about produ-cing electricity on your own? Ludoil is a reliable consultant to develop a self-production power plant. In this way, you will have all the energy at your disposal, without having to think about supplies from external suppliers.

The company SO.DE.CO s.r.l., belonging to the Ludoil group, owns four bondedwarehouses in the city of Civitavecchia (RM) with a total storage capacity of 350,000 tons. The following products are stored and marketed: Gasoline, Diesel 10 ppm, Diesel 0.1, Agricultural Diesel, Heating Diesel, Jet, Fuel Oil, Biodiesel (Fame).
The warehouses are connected through a hub to the offshore oil terminal, recognised by the European Commission as a strategic and advanced project, owned by Petroli Investimenti SpA, and located in the Civitavecchia roadstead at a distance of 2.2 km from the coast. Ships with a deadweight capacity of up to 100,000 tons can dock at this terminal (Torre-SPM).
SO.DE.CO s.r.l. also has an area under concession of about 2,000 sq.m. near quays no. 22 and 23 of the port of Civitavecchia, intended for bunkeringstations for ships with a maximum capacity of about 10,000 tons.

The warehouse guarantees the clearing of the oil pipelines for the connection with the Civitavecchia offshore oil terminal, dedicated to the handling of oil products passing through the port. We have received AUA authorization to purify anddischarge two types of water: first rainwater, deriving from the runoff of roads and yards, treated with a coalescence filter, and industrial wastewater containing dangerous substances of oil origin, treated in a chemical-physical-biological plant. The purified water is discharged onto surface water bodies in compliance with the discharge limits defined in Table 3, Annex 5 to Part Three of Legislative Decree 152/06. The industrial wastewater treatment plant consists of a water treatment line for the removal of contaminants and a sludge line, where the sludge produced by the chemical-physical and biological sections of the plant is dewatered. The sludge, deriving from wastewater treatment, is managed in compliance with Part Four of Legislative Decree 152/06. In the water line, the purification takes place using chemical-physical and biological processes that take place in different and consecutive sections. Specifically, in the first sections of the plant with chemical-physical processes, heavy metals are removed and precipitated through the use of additives that facilitate the coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation of the chemical sludge flakes. Subsequently, the water is re-launched to the biological treatment section: a process mediated by a bacterial biomass composed of specific microorganisms that, through oxidation-reduction reactions, degrade the biodegradable pollutants transforming them into CO2 and nitrates. Before the water is discharged, it passes through an active skin filter, in which the organic substance, if still present in solution, is removed by absorption.

European regulations for the marketing of ecological fuels. The company So.de.co. srl has obtained the SGS certificate of con-formity of the biodiesel product, issued in accordance with the Technical Regulation ACCREDIA RT-31, which allows and enables us to broker and market the FAME product, with and without storage. FAME biodiesel is obtained from renewable sources and increases the lubricating power of the fuel. So.de.Co. srl guaran-tees that the 10 ppm diesel product is mixed with FAME Biodieselup to a maximum of 7%, as required by current regulations. The 10 ppm diesel fuel product thus blended guarantees a 50%reduction in carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide emissions, a reduction in emissions of aromatic hydrocarbons with condensed rings, the absence of sulphur dioxide emissions and a reductionin emissions of particulate matter.

Petroli Investimenti is the owner of the offshore oil terminal (single berth oil tower) which is located on a portion of the state property whose occupation is authorized through a maritime state concession signed by the Port Authority of Civitavecchia and Petroli Investimenti SpA, about 2,200 m from the coast. The single mooring tower is located on a seabed of about 50 meters, and consists of a main steel grid structure, while the foundation is a steel structure. The poles are always made of steel and fixed in the bottom.
21
PETROLI INVESTIMENTI S.P.A.
The tower is equipped with a protection ring consisting of a cylindrical structure connected to a system of rubber shock absorbers on four diametrically opposed points, in addition, along the entire outer surface of the ring are positioned some wooden rubrails beyond the access stairs.
The platform is made up of a rotating part able to make a 360° rotation. It is connected to the mobile part:
Pipeline holder arm, valves and cardan joint, connected to the
floating hoses;
Mooring arm with pull cell and mooring cable;
Arm for counterweight ballast and crane support;
Support pylon for light and acoustic signals.
To one of the arms is attached the mooring cable, 50 meters long, which ends on the ship side with a chain of about 10 meters, a “pick-up line” cable about 100 meters long connected to the mooring cable that allows the recovery for the connection to the ship during mooring.
Between the tower and the cable is installed the “pull cell”, a device capable of transmitting in real time the amount of pull expressed in tons.
The other arm, perpendicular to the first one, supports the system of pipes, joints and valves and has the function of connecting, through a rotating joint (cardan joint), the floating flexible hoses to the submarine lines that in turn connect the tower with the ground sorting area.
There are four risers: two of 22” and two of 24”, the first connecting the tower to the SODECO sorting area are intended for the transport of light products, the second connecting to the ENEL sorting area were, as they are not currently in operation, intended for the transfer of heavy products.

Bunker Sales
Since January 2020 Ludoil Energia is one of the main providers of maritime services and supply of bunker fuel oil, in the various viscosity and sulphur content grades required by the carrier, in the Port of Civitavecchia (CVV). Every year about 11 million tons of goods are handled in Civitavecchia: it is a multifunctional port, divided into two macro areas with different market dynamics: in the southern the one dedicated to tourism, yachting and cruises, and in the northern one the area for commercial traffic, fishing and cabotage. Today it can count on about1,900,000 m² of quays, 25 operational berths from 100 to 400 m in length, for about 13 km of berths. SO.DE.CO s.r.l. has in concession an area of about 2,000 m² near quays n. 22 and 23.
The bunkering activity allows the supply of ferries for the transport of passengers and goods: Ludoil supplies the major global cruise shipowners(MSC, Costa, GNV, Royal Caribbean, NCL) in the port of Civitavecchia which, with more than 3,000 berthings per year, is the port with the highest traffic in the Mediterranean.

Alternative energies
LThe history of Ludoil, despite being linked to oil products, does not prevent us from looking at alternative energies with commitment and utility. We have made significant investments in green energy, pursuing the UN’s Sustainable Development objectivesto transform the world in which we all live. In particular, in line with Objective 7 of Agenda 2030, which came into force in 2016, we want to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy systems for all.
Energy is central to the challenges and opportunities facing the world today. Whether for work, security, climate change: access to energy is essential. Therefore, in line with UN Goal 7 and Goal 13, Ludoil’s commitment to alternative energy is complementary and not secondary to its core business. Year after year, we successfully invest in alternative energy, so that we can make the most of the sun and wind in the countries where we operate.
The attention to the environment and the commitment to research in the field of renewable energy has also been reflected in the activities of the Ludoil Group in investments in the wind energy sector. We own a wind farm in Sicily, in the city of Troina, and a wind farm in Sardinia - with mini wind turbines in the cities of Sanluri, Villanovaforru and Sardara - one of the first in Italy for efficiency and modernity. To date, Ludoil wind farms include mini wind turbineswith horizontal and vertical axis that transform the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical work. The latter is then converted into electrical work by coupling an electric generator to the turbine rotor shaft. The electrical work is then fed into a local grid or made available as electricity in interconnected grids. Ludoil mini wind turbines have very high levels of reliability, with a limited need for routine and extraordinary maintenance and safety levels suitable for efficient operation.

An integral part of the Ludoil group’s code of ethics is based on respect for the environment and the adoption of techniques aimed at the valorisationand exploitation of alternative energy resources. Ludoil has been directly involved in this area of research and has structurally implemented numerous petrol stations, including large ones, distributed throughout the country, of the latest generation photovoltaicsystems. Positioned above the petrol station platforms, the photovoltaic systems are able to make the public service activities totally self-sufficientthrough the exclusive use of clean energy.
