This function allows to reset the Service Reminder for Dashboard with

Multifunction Display.

Values are set back to default, so the reminder will come back again when its time will

come, following the manufacturer specs.

Please NOTE :

this procedure does NOT change the maintenance system settings

( long life to standard or viceversa ).

Please refer to “Service Setting in time/distance” and/or “Long Life setting” help

(available under “Dashboard” diagnostic), if you intend to CHANGE the

Maintenance Program ( according to the manufacturer specs ).

AUDI A6 3.0 V6 TDIENGINE MANAGEMENT (BMK)Diesel Particle Filter Regeneration

In case of DPF warning lamp ON or faults relating to the DPF, through this procedure it will be possible to “force” the Particle Filter Regeneration.Please note that when operating, this procedure will cause very high temperature, and it is mandatory to have the exaust pipe free by any occlusion or damages.The engine must be ready at the operating temperature (over 70°C).

WARNING : Do not leave the vehicle on an inflammable surface ! (like dried grass or leaves, wet floor by fuel or lubricants, etc.)

AUDI A6XENON LIGHTS ECU Coding

The Xenon Light headlamps are equipped by an individual ECU each one, that manages the power of light / power supply .In case of replacing one or both Headlamp, it is necessary to proceed with CODING function, available under this option.

AUDI A6 3.0 XENON LIGHTSBeam setting

This function allows the manual beam setting, when needed, in vehicles equipped by Xenon lights, avoiding the ECU intervention while adjusting beams by screws.Some conditions are required BEFORE starting the procedure:-Vehicle placed on a flat surface- Handbrake released- Gearbox in Neutral position or N- Steering wheel in the middle- no any load or person on the vehicle, ‘cause this procedure will automatically reset the suspension level sensors values- Low beam lights ON WARNING !During the procedure, DO NOT MOVE the vehicle.Set the correct beam level by using the proper adjusters on the headlamps.

BMW X5 Series (E53) ’00 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONOil level Check Oil refilling

Through these function it is possible to CHECK or REFILL the Automatic Gearbox oil level, in case of need.Just follow carefully all steps and messages shown by the tool, being sure to have back no any error message.

ERROR messages meaning:

- Error code 0RPM over range, that must be between 600 an 1000; under this condotion it is no possible to set properly the oil level, please repeat the procedure.

-Error code 1Insufficient Gearbox oil level; close the refilling orifice by its cap, wait for oil temperature decreasing (below 50°C), then refill if necessary and repeat the “Oil refilling” procedure.

This function allows to perform the Steering angle sensor Calibration, and must be done always in case of replacing the following components:ECU, steering columnm, steering wheel or all components may concern power steering group.Proceed in this way, respecting all steps:-Prepare the vehicle on a flat surface, with no any load on, steeering wheel and wheels aligned to the middle, then check all the points below- Vehicle stopped- Engine OFF- Ignition ON- Steering wheel blocked- Proper suspension level- No pending or stored faultsOnce finished the procedure by the tool, put the Ignition OFF, then ON and wait for 30 seconds to reach the procedure completion.

This procedure must be performed in case of a second hand catalytic converter will be used to replace the broken one.The procedure is automatic, just follow the messages shown by the tool.

This procedure allows to “force” the DPF regeneration, and must be performed in case of DPF warning Lamp ON, that means decreasing performances or problems that concerns the Diesel Particle Filter. During the procedure, the engine RPM will raise up;when the engine will come back to idle it means “procedure completed”.

WARNING:Please note that when operating, this procedure will cause very high temperature, and it is mandatory to have the exaust pipe free by any occlusion or damages.Do not walk or stay near the vehicle exaust pipe, and be carefull to place properly the exausts extraction system !

WARNING: Brake pedal must be depressed during all the process !

By “reading codes” function it is possible to read in the ECU the stored injectors codes.In case of injectors replacing, it will be necessary to run the “ INJECTORS CODING” function to store new injector’s code, so the ECU will manage the new ones in the properly way.Each new injector is sold with its own code, but in any case codes are printed on each injector’s body.Each Code is composed by 8 characters (letters / numbers).The coding procedure is the following:at the first step the tool asks for the first 4 digits, type them and confirm by “V” key, then type the remaining digits and confirm again by “V” key.Example: if the code is 05FFC220, first 05FF must be typed, then C220. Once finished, it’s suggested to leave diagnostic, wait for 2 minutes, then back to diagnostic again to check stored codes, that must correspond to the new ones.

FIAT 500 1.2 8vENGINE MANAGEMENT Learnt values Reset

By the internal program, the ECU is able to recognize the engine status changements concerning mechanic and electronic parts that are part of it or of the system. Those changements are due to the standard use or part replacements; the ECU will “ learn “ and “store” the actual situation and will act in order to those values (rpm signal, A/C, fan working mode, brake and gear mode), by adapting the basic map. Through this function it’s possible to clear part of memory that contains this type of “learnt” values / calibrations.After the procedure completion, it’s mandatory for the ECU to store again some important calibration/configuration, and will happen in this way:- A/C and Cruise Control will be set ON automatically, just switch them ON- ABS will be automatically detected via CAN network- Gearbox type ( Manual / Automatic) will be set by depressing and releasing the clutch pedal

FIAT 500 1.2 8vENGINE MANAGEMENT Trhottle body self-learning (DBW)

The function permits the Electronic Throttle basic setting Learning, by storing different throttle conditions (idle, full throttle, limp-home) recognized by different Voltage signal for each different condition. It must be done if Throttle Body replaced or cleaned, or in case of troubles concerning instable idle or bad engine response under power request (in terms of fluidity).For Marelli Systems : the procedure is automatic, just follow carefully the messages shown by the tool

FIAT 500 1.2 8vENGINE MANAGEMENT Toothed Ring Adaptation

This procedure allows to store values concerning RPM signal.

In case of learnt values cleared, the MIL lamp will “blink” constantly, and the adaptation must be done, as per the following steps:

1) Run the engine and wait for operating temperature2) Accelerate, standing with the vehicle, until 5000 RPM and mantain it for 3

seconds, then release3) Repeat it 3 times, the MIL lamp will stop blinking

If the engine does not running properly ( like irregular idle, emission over limits, missing power, etc.), please mind that this funtion can solve just setting problems, it cannot fix any broken component !

FORD FOCUS 07 / MONDEO 07ENGINE MANAGEMENT 1.8 TDCiInjector coding

This function permits the ECU code-storing concerning all injectors, and must be executed when replacing all injectors by others with different class code. That will permit the optimal injection time management by the Engine ECU. The injector class is tipically printed on each injector’s body.Once the procedure runs, first the stored code/class will be shown, and after confimation it will be possible to type the new value. N.B.:The only admitted values are 4, 5 and 6.

Through this function it is possible to run the basic setting for the electronic throttle body. Before executing the function, please mind to respect the following conditions:1 – Key On Engine OFF2 – engine temperature > 6 °C.3 – air temperature > 6 °C.4 –gas pedal releasedTool will ask to switch ignition OFF and wait for 10 seconds, than Ignition ON;from that step on, the setting will be done and stored automatically.

After a Leart value reset or due to parts replacement, it is necessary to update ECU by learning the value of RPM signal.The following steps must be respected:- Engine temp over 70°C;- A/C OFFOnce started the function, proceed on the road or road simulator as per the following:- by 3rd speed set ( in case of A/T selector on 3 ) accelerate softly over 3500 RPM, then release- repeat it until the item “ RPM adaptation completed” will indicates “YES”.

The function allows to set engine idle rpm increasing or decreasing the rpm value through different steps.The RPM values is shown all the time along the procedure.By dedicated keys it could be possible to increase or decrease the value. Once finished, press "V“ key to store, or “X” key to set it back to default.Please mind to respect the following conditions before executing the function, :- engine on- selector lever in P or N position.- engine temperature up to 70°C.

By this function it is possible to change the MISFIRE SENSIVITY, avoiding any false code set that will cause the affected cilynder disabling by injection cut-off.Along the procedure, the correction factor will be shown, and it can be changed by proper keys.Once set, press “V” key to store it, or “X” key to come back to default.

N.B.:Usually the factory default is 1

Vehicles of last generation have the fan management through ENGINE ECU, that refers directly to the engine temperature sensor to do it.The fan intervention point can be changed by choosing a correction factor that will start fan in advance (or in late), relating to the ECU standard program.During the procedure, the correction value in °C will be shown.Example:If the fun intervention is set at 100°C by default, when 5°C is set, fun intervention point will be at 95°C. Once started the procedure, just press the dedicated keys to increase or decrease the value,then “V” key to store it or “X” to set the value back to default.

N.B.: Usually the default value is 0°C. PLEASE MIND that the minimum value that can be stored is 0°C ( default ).

Shift down: 5th4th, 4th3rd.How to proceeed for succesfull completion:• engine RPM between 1200 and 1800 RPM• Gearbox oil temp over 60°C• selector lever set on D position• engine torque betwen 0 and 40 NmTo proceed correctly, the gearbox must be driven to set the same speed at list 4 times. Once done, it is mandatory to leave the engine idling for 10 minutes; during this time the A/T ECU will do the adaptation automatically. N.B.:Perforing this procedure, it is mandatory to respect the condition mentioned before to obtain a succesful adaptation; contrarily, the adaptation will be refused.

each option, that must be confirmed or not, depending to the present ones.

To have an idea of the on-board installed options, before starting the

configuration, check each item in the Live Data that concern each option status.

This procedure cause a very high temperature on exausts, and in most cases smell and smoke; due to that, it is strictly suggested to perform it OUTSIDE.Time involved to complete the procedure is approx. 30 minutes, starting from engine operating temperature (= 80°C: please consider extratime if less than it).Avoiding any engine damage, please check first the Engine oil level.In case of emergency, or to stop the forced rigeneration, just push twice briefly ( less than 3 seconds) the START button.N.B.:The rigeneration will be totally abandoned if the engine stays OFF more than 1 minute.
