Company Car Insurance is a legal requirement in the UK for any cars or vehicles that are used for work purposes.

There are some industries which require a company car in order to work efficiently between locations such as delivery drivers, contractors, sales reps and builders.

A company car is owned and paid for by the company. This is different to a ‘business car’ which is owned by the individual worker and they are responsible for any payments.

The Three Classes of Company Car InsuranceClass 1: This is for staff travelling to different sites and offices around the UK for work-related purposes.

Class 2: This is similar to class 1 because it is made for those commuting to several work locations. However, there is also the inclusion of an ‘any driver’ extension so another member of staff can also have a share of the driving and be covered provided they have a valid UK drivers’ license.

Class 3: In addition to travelling to different offices and locations, class 3 can also transport light goods such as deliveries. This is ideal for couriers insurance and food delivery works as it means that the contents they are transporting can be covered for any damages.
