The scheme demonstrates how we can promote whole-person development through education[It] breaks new ground by bringing together our international and local schools to deliver community service projects, and in so doing opens up new learning experience for students of different background[It] is a big success and we want EdExchange to continue,Bernadette Linn, Deputy Secretary for EducationMay 20077. Feedback from Education BureauCommunity Service is effective in developing empathy, social concern and respect for different groups of people in society. These values and attitudes underpin Moral and Civic Education. The future leaders of our society are nurtured through the valuable learning experiences gained in programmes like Community Leaders of Tomorrow,Mr. Chris Wardlaw, Deputy Secretary for Education May 2008

We have found this Scheme rewarding and meaningful. Although we are from different schools, cultural background and speaking different languages, we are glad to have this opportunity working together to serve the community,Students from King George V College and Chan Shui Kei (La Salle) CollegeMay 2007

    8. Feedback from Students (1/2) Throughout our many sessions, we grew a bond with the amazing children. Their laughter, creativity, and imagination have touched us all. We hope that they have benefited from this, being more environmentally aware and able to recognize and understand the new terms they learnt pertaining to saving the environment so they can contribute to making the world a better place. Our team this year has worked together cooperatively, learning more about each other,Students from King George V College and Chan Shui Kei (La Salle) CollegeMay 2008

    8. Feedback from Students (2/2) After being a OLT tutor this year, I have more in-depth understanding on the new senior secondary Curriculum (Other Learning Experiences). I also learned how to organize and design a large-scale activity. This programme provides a good opportunity for us to visit the school and help students to co-ordinate the activities. I would like to thank all the participating schools for giving us much freedom, so that the whole event can be organized smoothly. Student from HKIED Gloria March 2010
