Where the journey begins...

I N N O C E N C E R E G A I N E DParadise was once a place where Adam and Eve lived. It was a place with eternal spring and ever-bearing fruits whereby the inhabitants lived without additional wants. However, they were banished from Para-dise after eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil which God warned them not to. Knowing evil brought fear and shame to them. It ruined the innocent relationship with God and with each other. To bring back Paradise is to regain the innocence lost within us and the only way is to break away from societal corruption and influence.‘Be oneself’ shows the tension of one trying to break through the corrupted society, who in turn attempts to shape us into a part of it. The shapes of the platforms were inspired by the intersec-tion between dowel rods whilst the steep dowel rods were incor-porated with stairs. The entrance shows the process of elevat-ing oneself away from corruption and into the innocence within.
