Project introductionOur work is about the eastern immigrants
populations in Portugal, more speciffically in
Algarve.In our researches we tried to see the reasons that
led them to come here, their situation in their origin
countrie, their difficulties on coming here and how
is the immigration at this moment in Portugal.
To accomplish our goals, we used researches and
surveys done to eastern immigrants from 13 to 60
years
Work introduction
In the second half of the 90’s, a strong migratory flux started, mainly from countries of the European east, that as lasted until short time. The economics problems, the growing population, the fall of the Berlin wall, the creation of the European Union, besides other aspects, have promoted this migration, including in Portuguese territory. In conclusion, we hope that we can make you see what we idealize, as well to obtain a more specific approach about this phenomenon that has so many implications in our social reality.

Reasons that led to the immigrati on:
• Economy: Unemployment, low salary, misery, are the most common problems that forces the population to leave their countri
• Politic: Political persues and discrimination• Natural disasters• Military Actions: Civil wars that takes people in the need of seeking
refugy in another countries
Pros VS Cons
Why Portugal?
• Easy entry and legalization in the country;
• Existence of better wages and working sectors in the domestic market underhanded (in construction or hospitality);
• Portuguese society is extremely welcoming enabling easy integration in the country.

Conclusion
With this work was possible to compare the actual life of the emigrants and the life they had a few years ago. Trough surveys, interviews and researches we were able to realize that the emigration has diminished, in fact to many of them returning now to their countries.Although the Portuguese community welcomes them, the opportunities and life conditions were once better. There is a good relationship between people from different nationalities, but normally they are a closed group.Hope you had enjoyed
