1 1 Colorado Recess Day What: Colorado Recess day is our state’s recognition of the importance of physical activity throughout the school day for students and families. When: Wednesday October 5 th Where: All Playworks Schools and Infinity Park Who: 1) Playworks schools 2) Kroenke Sports – Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rapids and Mammoth 3) Infinity park and Glendale Raptors (Rugby) 4) Governor Hickenlooper’s office 5) Colorado Health Foundation – assist with getting media present Schedule: 11:00am – Families are invited to come play at recess with their kids. Playworks will create a field-day like experience where families can enjoy physical activity together. 11:00 – Adult Recess at Infinity Park 1:30pm – A player or ambassador from one of the teams listed above will visit each of our schools, do a demonstration of their sport and then Playworks will run games with the students and players/ambassadors. Students may get tickets to events and/or sporting equipment for their schools.
