Colonial American Portraits What are they? Artworks of important people, like George Washington. Everyday people could buy a miniature portrait for less money. Colonial American Portraits Where were they created? In the American Colonies, with ideas, techniques, & styles from England. People would sit for their portrait, so it would be accurate.
