This course module presents participants with a series of exercises and problems designed to test their ability to apply acquired knowledge of the topics previously covered in Modules 1 and 2. Completing this lab will highlight areas that require further attention and will help prove hands-on proficiency in cloud computing concepts, technologies and practices as they are applied and combined to solve real-world problems.

As a hands-on lab, this course module provides a set of detailed exercises. Both individual and group exercises are provided, requiring participants to solve a number of inter-related problems with the ultimate goal of assess-ing, measuring and planning for the deployment of cloud-based IT resources, as well as establishing cloud computing technology architectures based on Soft-ware-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) delivery models.

This course breaks down common cloud computing platforms, delivery models and deployment models into architectural layers, mechanisms and industry technolo-gies. It introduces a patterns-centric view that provides insight into the mechanics of cloud environments and further illustrates how cloud based services and solu-tions can relate to, utilize and be comprised of distributed technology artifacts and components.
