VICKI BAKER: Vicki worked as a teacher for over 30 years, mainly in Oregon. She retired in 1999 and continued to purse her love for creating art. She has studied printmaking at CCC with Royal Nebeker. She shows her work at Riversea and Tempo galleries in Astoria. SUSAN BARTLETT: Susan has always enjoyed sewing and began quilting in 2005. She loves how every quilter has a personal style and no two quilts are the same. SUSAN BISH: Susan majored in art and drama in college and resumed her art instruction after moving to Oregon in 1975. Her work can be seen at the Trails End Art Association, Gearhart; Palette Puddlers, Cannon Beach; and Riversea Gallery, Astoria SHEILA BROWN: Sheila is a member of Trails End Art Association, Gearhart and Palette Puddlers, Cannon Beach. She shows her work at Riversea Gallery in Astoria. LAURIE CAPLAN: Laurie starts designing inspired by mood, season or place - or sometimes simply the fabric. She enjoyed her years as a psychotherapist and teacher and it was a happy surprise to dis-cover how much she loves creating with fabric. NANCY ANN CARRUTHERS: Nancy received a B.A. in Art from Willamette University and also studied at the Pacific Northwest College of Art and Clatsop Community college. She paints in oils and pastels. ROGER DORBAND: Roger has been an artist-photographer for over 30 years. He has published three books. Roger established a studio in Astoria in 2008. REITA E’LAINE: Reita is a colorist who uses the properties of transparent watercolors to achieve depth, textures and color intensities. She has received awards in national and international juried exhib-its and her work is included in museum and private collections internationally. DALE FLOWERS: Dale is from St. Louis, MO. He received his BS and MA in Fine Arts from SE Mis-souri University. Currently, his subject matter is flowers that grow around his neighborhood. DON FRANK: Don is a commercial, editorial and fine art photographer based on the Oregon Coast. EDITH GORE: Edith is a CCC ceramics student. STIRLING GORSUCH: Stirling is a Clatsop Community College 2013 graduate. He will earn his Bache-lor’s degree in studio art from Oregon State University in 2015. ROGER HAYES: Roger has a 32 year history of exhibits in the US and Europe. He is represented in Astoria by Imogen Gallery. MARY HILL: Mary works in many media but prefers warm (fused) glass. She has worked in fused glass for almost 10 years. KIRSTEN HORNING: Kirsten has had an ongoing obsession with printmaking on and off for over 15 years. She has worked in etching and monotype but is more strongly drawn to woodcut. She likes the smoothness of the block, the rhythm of carving the wood, and the richness of the inks. KEN HUNT: Ken worked at Art Space in Bay City, Oregon in the 1980s. RON JENSEN: Ron is a retired journalist. He studied at Clatsop Community College and at UC-Berkley and Linfield. Ron shows at Riversea Gallery in Astoria and at galleries in Oregon, California, Massachusetts, Canada and France. LAREE JOHNSON: LaRee, presently an Astoria resident, grew up in Alaska. She is an avid 30-year collector of vintage fashions and authored and photographed Ladies’ Vintage Accessories, a compre-hensive value and identification guide on accessories from the mid-1800s to modern. ISABALLE JOHNSTON-HAIST: Isabelle was born in Switzerland and completed her studies at the Ge-neva School of Art. Early in her career, she worked in stone and wood but has now turned primarily to clay modeling and resin casting. Isabelle moved to Astoria in 2010. NICHOLAS KNAPTON: Nicholas is from Astoria but now resides in Berlin. He is an alumnus of CCC and credits Royal Nebeker and Richard Rowland as instrumental in his growth as an artist. Nicholas is known for his expressionist style. His work can be found at Imogen Gallery in Astoria. CHRISTOS KOUTSOURAS: Christos was born in Greece and has enjoyed a long and diverse career. He has exhibited extensively throughout Europe and the U.S.. Christos came to Astoria in 2010 and be-gan preparing for a solo exhibition at the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art. He is represented by Imogen Gallery in Astoria. DONNA LARSON: Donna began making jewelry five years ago. She joined CCC as Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs in July 2012. GIN LAUGHERY: Gin’s printmaking reflects a love of the natural world, her perceptions and how they combine to create images. Her work focuses on conveying mood and sense of place, and can be seen at Imogen Gallery in Astoria.

She paints in oils and pastels.ROGER DORBAND: Roger has been an artist-photographer for over 30 years. He has published three books. Roger established a studio in Astoria in 2008.REITA E’LAINE: Reita is a colorist who uses the properties of transparent watercolors to achieve depth, textures and color intensities. She has received awards in national and international juried exhibits and her work is included in museum and private collections internationally.DALE FLOWERS: Dale is from St. Louis, MO. He received his BS and MA in Fine Arts from SE Missouri University. Currently, his subject matter is flowers that grow around his neighborhood.DON FRANK: Don is a commercial, editorial and fine art photographer based on the Oregon Coast.EDITH GORE: Edith is a CCC ceramics student.STIRLING GORSUCH: Stirling is a Clatsop Community College 2013 graduate. He will earn his Bachelor’s degree in studio art from Oregon State University in 2015.ROGER HAYES: Roger has a 32 year history of exhibits in the US and Europe. He is represented in Astoria by Imogen Gallery.MARY HILL: Mary works in many media but prefers warm (fused) glass. She has worked in fused glass for almost 10 years.KIRSTEN HORNING: Kirsten has had an ongoing obsession with printmaking on and off for over 15 years. She has worked in etching and monotype but is more strongly drawn to woodcut. She likes the smoothness of the block, the rhythm of carving the wood, and the richness of the inks.KEN HUNT: Ken worked at Art Space in Bay City, Oregon in the 1980s.RON JENSEN: Ron is a retired journalist. He studied at Clatsop Community College and at UC-Berkley and Linfield. Ron shows at Riversea Gallery in Astoria and at galleries in Oregon, California, Massachusetts, Canada and France.LAREE JOHNSON: LaRee, presently an Astoria resident, grew up in Alaska. She is an avid 30-year collector of vintage fashions and authored and photographed Ladies’ Vintage Accessories, a comprehensive value and identification guide on accessories from the mid-1800s to modern.ISABALLE JOHNSTON-HAIST: Isabelle was born in Switzerland and completed her studies at the Geneva School of Art. Early in her career, she worked in stone and wood but has now turned primarily to clay modeling and resin casting. Isabelle moved to Astoria in 2010.
LESLIE HALL LIPE: Leslie is a self-taught artist who loves to paint on wood. She has shown her work at the Astoria Coffee House and Lunar Boy Gallery. Leslie works at CCC and lives in Chinook, WA. NEAL MAINE: Neal taught biology at Seaside High School for more than 30 years and is a founding member of the North Coast Land Conservancy. He now concentrates on coastal photography. SONJA MAY: Sonja received her MFA at the Pratt Institute of Art in New York. She founded the Colum-bia River Artists Gallery in Chinook in 2004. Her work has been shown in Oregon, Washingotn and New York. MARGARET MCCARTER: Margaret is a retired Clatsop Community College biology instructor. CHUCK MEYER: Chuck has 50+ years involvement with photography with a major interest in black and white. He enjoys the use and processing of black and white film paper in chemicals and likes the realism that it produces. MICHAEL MULDOON: Michael was raised in Cannon Beach, OR. His 30 year career took him across country and Europe. He began art in 2006 and never looked back. RICHARD NEWMAN: Richard’s artistic interests tend toward landscapes, nature, transportation and photographs of Europe. He is based in Beaverton, OR and is a member of the Trails End Art Associa-tion. ROBERT PAULMENN: Robert graduated from the DuCret School of Art. He worked as a sculptor/moldmaker for Great Adventure Amusement Park. He later attended The Art Students League of New and the National Academy of Design in New York. CHRISTI PAYNE: Christi has been living on the John Day River for 14 years. How to visually capture these - to us - everyday scenes? Once she found the 2” detailed pencil drawings, she was hooked. She loves the time she spends up close - nose to paper. TERRIE REMINGTON: Terri was born in Rockville Centre, NY. She studied art in Phoenix, AZ; in San Francisco with Frank Milner; and at the University of Arizona at Tucson, the Esquela de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Spain, the Mendocino Art Center, and the University of Washington. Terri now lives in Astoria. THRON RIGGS: Thron shares that he likes to paint and sometimes likes the result. He lives in Warrenton and worked as a Columbia River bar pilot. CAROL RILEY: Carol was born in Portland. She holds a BA in painting from Scripps College, Claremont, CA and an MAT from Reed College, Portland. Her professional career includes long associ-ations with Foster/White Gallery in Seattle and Butters Gallery in Portland. Public exhibitions include: OHSU, Oregon State University, Stanford University and the Oregon Governor’s Office. BETHANY ROWLAND: Bethany has enjoyed the practice of painting for over 20 years, but not until recently has she shared her work publicly, with her first solo show at Imogen Gallery in October 2013. Her work has been juried into CCC’s Au Naturel show for the past two years. She is represented by Imo-gen Gallery in Astoria. RICHARD ROWLAND: Richard has worked as an artist for 35 years. KATHY SAMSEL: Kathy is a retired school administrator who works in several art media. She lives in Seaside. DENNIS SAULSBURY: Dennis is a long-time photography enthusiast. With increased time demanded by business involvement, Dennis put photography aside until digital photography made it possible to produce worthy images and prints without the need for a darkroom or commercial lab. His work has been exhibited and sold locally. SCOTT SAULSBURY: Scott began his pursuit of photography while in high school and has been involved continuously for over 35 years. His work is exhibited and sold locally. MIA SCHULTE: Mia Schulte was born in Turkey and grew up in a family that traveled and lived in many countries in Europe and the Middle East. Her work has been shown in exhibitions throughout Washington State since 2007.
