Policies• Food and beverages are not allowed in the classroom!!• Please be in your seat when the bell rings, as class begins at that

time. If you are not in the classroom when the tardy bell rings, continue to Discipline and receive your pass to enter class. You will not be allowed to enter the classroom without your pass from Discipline!!

• Assignments must be submitted on the due date given. All late assignments will automatically lose 10 points.

• Absences: If you are absent, you will be allowed to make up missed assignments only if your absence was excused due to illness, doctor’s appt., funeral, and court appearance. Documentation must be submitted to the office. You will have five (5) days to turn in all make-up work. If work is not turned in during this designated time, you will receive no credit for the assignments.. If you are absent due to OSS, cutting class, or unexcused

absence (e.g. woke up late), you will not be allowed to make up any missed assignments.

Policies (cont’d)• Absences: Tests and quizzes must be made up within five (5) days of

returning to school. It is your responsibility to schedule your make up tests/quizzes with the teacher. Failure to do so will result in you receiving a grade of “zero” – 0. If you were absent due to medical, funeral, court, ISSP, or excused

school event, you will be allowed to make up the test/quiz upon returning to class.

If you were absent due to OSS, cutting class or an unexcused absence, you will not be allowed to make up any test/quiz.

• Tardiness: If you are tardy to class, you will not be given any additional time to complete assignments that are due at the end of class. You must turn in the assignment whether you have finished or not. Failure to turn in the assignment will result in a grade of “zero” – 0.

• You will not be allowed to make up work when you were physically present in class. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Grading

• Grades are based on the accumulation of points.

• Points are based on: Class participation

(effort) Completion of assignments

(daily work) Major projects, exams, and

self-reflection

• Grades are posted online and updated every Thursday.
