Established by John Forsyth in 2010, the North East Youth Chorale encourages young adults aged 16 – 24 from across the region to experience at first hand the skills and joy of Choral singing! Currently, singers come from all parts the North East, with several from Middlesbrough, Stockton, Darlington and Hartlepool.

They will be performing a festive repertoire, culminating with Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, an atmospheric and celebratory collection of traditional stories surrounding the birth of Christ.

SUNDAY 22 DECEMBER North East Youth Chorale

Classical singer Ben Noble is an emerging performer who recently achieved Grade 8 Distinction in both voice and piano. Ben is a pupil of Beryl Lindley, and is about to start a music degree at York University. In addition to solo performances Ben regularly performs in a duo, covering a myriad of styles.

Ben will be performing favourites of the bass/baritone repertoire such as Caro Mio Ben by 18th Century composer Giordani, and a selection from Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Songs of Travel.

SUNDAY 20 OCTOBER Ben Noble

Alex and Alison are Tees Valley based performers and teachers who have recently formed a piano and cello duo. Alex (cello) completed his Undergraduate Degree in performance at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2011, and Alison (piano) completed her Postgraduate Diploma in performance at the Royal Academy of Music in 2007.

Together they will be performing Brahams Sonata No. 1 for Piano and Cello and Variations on a Slovak Folk Song by Czech composer Bohuslav Martinu.
