What your pride and joy rolls on is important to you. So we take the time to ensure

each wheel enhances the design of our vehicles by requiring complete approval by VW Design Wolfsburg as well

as Volkswagen AG. And being an automotive company with high-quality standards, Volkswagen extensively tests each

wheel design for quality and durability. For example, each new wheel design must survive and remain functional after

a full-vehicle crash test. Additionally, Volkswagen performs the “Reifenschlitz” test in which the wheels are assessed

by placing tires on them and then slashing the tires to see how they perform on the wheel. The wheel is designed

to allow the vehicle to roll to a stop on the flat tire instead of forcing the vehicle to roll on its rims. Each VW wheel has

a unique tire recommendation—use of a non-recommended tire may lead to shredding/driving on rims. Unique design,

quality assurance—your Volkswagen vehicle deserves it and so do you. After all, you’re riding on it.

A note about our wheel and summer performance tire assemblies: Our alloy wheel and tireassemblies, as well as some of the tires required for our larger-diameter alloy wheels, aredesigned for optimum performance and handling in warm climates. They are not suitablefor cold, snowy or icy weather conditions. If you drive under those circumstances, youshould equip your vehicle with all-season or winter tires, which offer better traction underthose conditions. We suggest you use the recommended winter or all-season tire specifiedfor your car or its equivalent. These high-performance tires also have a lower aspect ratiothat aids performance and handling; however, in order to avoid tire, rim or vehicledamage, it is important that the inflation pressure is regularly checked and maintained atrecommended levels. Please also remember, in making your selection, that while these tiresdeliver responsive handling, they may ride less comfortably and make more noise thanother choices. For further information on all these topics, please consult the owner’smanual, your local dealer or call 1-800-DRIVE-VW.

New wheels: If you want to replace the wheels installed on the vehicle at the factory, makesure that the new wheels are equipped with sensors which are compatible with the factory-installed tire-pressure monitoring system, if applicable. The valve in each tire is equippedwith a sensor which measures the pressure in the tire and transmits it to the tire-pressuremonitoring system. New wheels with sensors are recognized and integrated into the system.For recognition to take place, the vehicle must be driven for a while at more than 15 mph(25 km/h) after it has been idle for about 20 minutes. If you are using tires with differentinflation pressures than those recommended by the factory, the tire-pressure values must bereprogrammed. Please contact your authorized Volkswagen dealer or qualified workshop.If you mount wheels which do not have sensors or have incompatible sensors, the systemcannot recognize the wheels; the tire-pressure monitoring system is not able to measureinflation pressure, and a malfunction will be displayed.

NOTE: USA New Beetles model year 2008 and newer require tire-pressure monitoringsystem sensors. Only a limited selection of wheels are compatible. Ask your dealer fordetails.

NOTE: Volkswagen Rabbit, Jetta, Passat and Eos models not originally equipped from thefactory with a sport suspension package require a suspension limiter kit, part number000 071 501 A, sold separately at additional cost. Wheel alignment should be checked.Ask your VW dealer for details.
