toenduserssuchasTony.Theygotothroughthe3stepdeploymentprocessthatI

explainedonthepreviousslide.WehaveaThorplugintotheSCCMconsolethataddsthe

CitrixUIextensionstoit.

OncetheadminhasconfiguredtheXADTdeploymentparametersintheconsole,theThor

XenAppAgentservicerunningoneachoftheXenAppworkersworkswiththeSCCMAgent

todetectthependingdeploymentandinadvanceofapendingmaintenancewindow,

warnsallloggedonusersofanimpendingreboot.Itthenstartstodrainusersoffofthe

systemandonceinsideamaintenancewindowandtherearenousersloggedontothe

XenAppServer,itthenperformstheactualdeploymentbytalkingtotheSCCMAgent.If

ThisentireorchestrationprocesscanbemadetotakeadvantageofCitrixPCM(Powerand

CapacityManagement)server.PCMdoesthisorchestrationgracefullyacrosstheentire

clonesarerunningthenewimagewiththenewapps,itdoesntshowupinReceiveryet.

ThemissingpieceofthepuzzleistheConnectortask.OncetheSCCMAgentshave

reportedbacktotheSCCMdatabasethattheappshavebeensuccessfullydeployed,the

ConnectorservicepublishestheapplicationtotheXAcontrollerdatabasemakingthe
