Integrated Visual & Voice Mobile Collaboration at 2012 RNC

Broadband network provided first responders with a secure way to share real-time video, voice, and data communications via smart phones and tablets.

Cisco IPICS, Cisco Jabber, and the RealityVision applications allowed law enforcement officers and intelligence teams to receive and share live video and position information of crowd movements well in advance of the news media and social networking capabilities of the public.

These applications enabled situational awareness integrating fixed camera feeds, smart phones to transmit live video feeds and share GPS-enabled blue force tracking, and push-to-talk voice with LMR P25 resources on existing federal, state, and local radio systems.
