All about crayfish!

Structures!1. Eyes for looking. 2. Pinchers for grabbing things and fighting enemies.3. Swimmerets for holding eggs.[Female has more swimmeret's than Male.]4. Walking legs for walking.

Behaviours!1. When I left it alone in the basin, the crayfish

stayed still.2. When I reached toward it, the crayfish moved the legs.3. When I touched the crayfish's back, the crayfish didn't do anything.4. When I touched the crayfish's tail, the crayfish didn't do anything.5. When I touched the crayfish's antenna, the crayfish still didn't do anything.6. When I put the crayfish on the table, the crayfish began walking.7. When I put a flower pot in the basin, the crayfish went to the flower pot and the crayfish just went right in there. 8. When I leaved the house in the basin for 5 minutes, the crayfish went to the flower pot9. When I put another crayfish, the other crayfish stayed away from the crayfish that we had.

Habitat!1. Crayfish live in places that has water. 2. Crayfish live in places that has elodea [seaweed] too.3. Sometimes they live in tanks too. [But only for a pet or learning about crayfish in school.]4. They live in a place that has flower pots too.

People are making crayfish homes bad because...

1. People are throwing plastic bags at streams. If you throw plastic bags in streams, the plastic bags get caught by crayfish houses and foods so they will die because all the things they need is caught.

2. People are putting toxic waste in the streams. The toxic waste makes the crayfish die. Toxic waste is a very bad liquid.

This is a sign of toxic waste.
