Writing Task Write a letter from Columbus to the King and Queen

describing what he has discovered, and urging them to take immediate action.

  Write a journal entry from the perspective of the Indian

Chief, describing what happened today and what his thoughts are about the new visitors.  

Write a letter from the Indian Chief to other Indian Chiefs arguing for a course of action as a response to the new visitors.

Write a letter from a member of Columbus’ crew to a friend or loved-one describing what has been discovered and urging some type of action based on observations.
