FULL-TIME PAID MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY We want to say “Thank You” to Sandy Dietz for her years of faithful service

as secretary at Shiloh and we ask you to pray for her and her family as she

transitions to a new season of effective ministry and mission. We have post-

ed a new job description on our website for a full-time Director of Commu-

nications or you can get a hard copy in the church office. Please check it

out and pass it along to anyone you think might be a great fit.

SUBSTITUTE PRESCHOOL TEACHER OPPORTUNITY

Shiloh Preschool is currently accepting applications for substitute teachers

with potential for long-term placements. If you are interested, please find

an application at shilohumc.com, and e-mail it along with a current resume

to Beth Carter at [email protected] Applicants should have experience

working with children..

LIVE NATIVITY

Please join us for the Live Nativity Saturday December 12, from 6 to 9 PM.

Take some time to slow down and witness the “reason for the season” as you

experience Mary, Joseph, Kings, Shepherds and their animals celebrating the

birth of Baby Jesus. Hot chocolate will be served to warm you up. WE ARE

IN NEED OF ABOUT 20 VOLUNTEERS to dress as the characters for one

hour time slots. Men and women are welcome for all characters. We supply

costumes. SIGN UP SHEET is in the Gathering Space. Thanks for consider-

ing this ministry!

****UMW CHRISTMAS DINNER****

Thursday, December 10, 6:30 PM at The Farm

Cost: 65+ $14.95 Under 65 $15.95

All women of Shiloh are invited to join us for our annual Christmas gather-

ing. This is always a special evening with friends. This year we will be col-

lecting items and monetary donations for Wesley Education Center for Chil-

dren & Families and The Assistance League. See the complete list on the

UMW bulletin board in the office hallway. All donations are much need-

ed and greatly appreciated. Bring them to the dinner or mark them and put

in parlor closet.

ALSO, we will be doing something new this year as we will be having a

$5.00 wrapped gift exchange at our dinner amongst all the women who at-

tend. We hope you can join us.-Bring a friend! HUMS TREE IS BACK!

Once again we will be collecting hats, underwear, mittens, and socks. Look

for the tree in the Gathering Space and place your gifts in the branches now

until Christmas. We will be sending these items to our Price Hill campus for

Pastor Hughes to distribute to needy families.

CHRISTMAS CARDS FOR SHUT-INS

Help brighten someone’s day this Christmas season! Please take a moment

to stop by the table in the Gathering Space to sign Christmas cards for mem-

bers of our Shiloh family who are unable to attend worship services.

MORROW DONOR REGISTRY DRIVE

Saturday, December 12, 2015, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PLAY

The best Christmas ever! A group of children from a local church have only

one week to invite people from all over town to a birthday party for Jesus.

Each day, they meet back at the church to share responses of the people

they invited. The town’s TV station anchor gets involved, allowing the chil-

dren on air to extend their invitation. He mocks the children and the activity.

The final song asks the TV man and the audience, “What Will You Do with

Jesus?”

DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR UPWARD!

Evaluations are over but we will be adding one more for make ups if you

missed them and forgot to register your child.

STUDIO 64:8 WEDNESDAY EVENING CHILDREN'S MINISTRY WILL

RESUME ON JANUARY 6, 2016. CHRISTMAS PLAY REHEARSAL CON-

TINUES EVERY WEDNESDAY THROUGH DECEMBER 16, WHICH IS OUR

DRESS REHEARSAL.

STUDIO 64:8 NEEDS YOUR HELP AGAIN!

The children are doing an activity in December that requires LOTS of stick

on bows. It would be a wonderful blessing. Please bring them to church no

later than November 29. Thank You!

ANGEL TREE

Once again, we will be participating in the Prison Ministries Angel Tree Pro-

ject. We will be purchasing gifts for children whose parents are incarcerated.

Each child receives 2 gifts: a clothing item and a toy or “fun” item, each

valued @$20.00. If you would like to participate in this important ministry,

pick an Angel from the tree, sign a registration card, then purchase and wrap

gift(s) and attach your angel to it. Return to the tree by December 13. The

children are delighted to receive gifts from their parents and are so grateful

to all who help this happen. If you would like to donate money for a gift(s)

and have someone else shop for you, contact John or Kathy Erpelding at 451-

5513.
