“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living

hope through the resurrec on of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.”

1 Peter 1:3‐4

Christ is Risen! He is Risen, indeed! Our day of celebra on on Easter has passed, however, our Resurrec on Life con nues on!   Easter is not a day we celebrate once per year, but a lifestyle the we live in every day, because He lives, everything is different! Peter  tells  us  that  the     Resurrec on Life has some significant components!

 • Great Mercy! Because of what Jesus did for us on the cross,   we are able to receive mercy and grace.  This is an everyday experience as God’s mercies are new every day! (Lamenta ons 3:22‐23)  Every morning when you take a shower and cleanse your body, remember that God offers the cleansing power of His mercy new, every day!  Claim it, in Jesus’ name!

• New Birth!   As we receive God’s mercies new every day, it’s like we begin again, we are born again, every day is new!  As Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:13‐14, “But one thing I do: For-ge ng what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Today is a new day,  forget the past, press on into the new that God has for you!

• Living Hope!  Hebrews 6:19 says, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Because Jesus was raised from the dead, our hope is secure and anchors our soul for whatever we face in life.  We know that the same God who  was able to raise Christ from the dead is able to care for our every need and safely bring us to our eternal inheritance,  which leads us to the final component of the Resurrec on Life.

• An Inheritance that will never perish, spoil or fade!  Heaven   isn’t just wishful thinking, in Christ it is the inheritance that  God has planned for His children.  To those who believe in him, to those who receive him, He gives the power to become the children of God.  As we will learn in the Case for Christ series, “Believing + Receiving = Becoming.” As we not only believe in the message of the Resurrec on, but receive it by faith, we  become what God intended for us, followers of Jesus, children of God with an eternal inheritance.

How are you living your Resurrec on Life?  I hope you will con nue to grow deeper  in your faith and the evidence that provides substance for the resurrec on!  I am so glad to be on this journey with you!  May the Res‐urrec on Life show God’s mercy, rebirth, hope and confidence in our inher‐itance every day as we live for Jesus!  Blessings,    Pastor Mark

David and Gerd serve with MAF (Mission Avia on Fellowship) at the Nampula base in Mozam‐bique, Africa. Dave  says,  “My pas-sion is to serve and to see the lives of the Mozambican people transformed physically and spiritually.” Dave  is especially  pleased  that  MAF‐Mozambique  is  a  partner  in  the MozMed  project  in which MAF  pro‐vides transporta on to Chris an doc‐tors, nurses, and den sts, who minis‐

ter to isolated people in the name of Jesus. As a pilot Dave works with local agencies, other ministry organiza ons to help in whatever situa on is need‐ed to provide support or relief to those anywhere in Mozambique.  They fly food and medical supplies to villages where ground transporta on is limited or impossible.  They fly out people in remote loca ons with medical emer‐gencies or fly doctors  in as needed. The poli cal situa on  in Mozambique can be very challenging just working thru the maze of agencies and officials.  Clashes between the government and rebel forces s ll occur in parts of the country.    Gerd finds great joy and purpose in providing a loving home for her family and suppor ng Dave in his role as program manager. Besides caring for their youngest, Anna, she is the backup flight‐follower on weekends and early mornings. Dave and Gerd's older  children  (Karina, Sylvia & Thomas) are all living in the States.

Please pray for …
