FAQ’s=Delta SupportHow many sets should I use?Does pipe/furrow direction matter? Angle? What if I have high flow and water from both sides of the riser at one time? (Splitting flow)? What happens if I try to drive water uphill/downhill?How much head pressure will 15”X10 mil pipe handle? Can I splice two different sizes of pipe together?Compacted wheel row middles?Plans for Pipe Planner assistance with Side Inlet Rice Irrigation.

Many of these questions are resolved with using Pipe Planner!

Tips/Tools

User
Best to have some length of hard pipe first before installing polypipe. Make sure pipe is installed at ground level. Air vacuum/relief valve should be installed to avoid tearing of polypipe when pump shuts down after irrigation. A stand pipe is affective when on electrical powered pumps when the pressure is unknown or too high. Check flowrate always!

Additional Benefits:

Web Based

Functionality saves time and money for the producer/consultant

Storage/fast retrieval of data

Easily share and distribute irrigation data online

Added support for the producer and consultant

Data Storage from Well to Hole Size

Ease of reporting-NRCS EQUIP

Networking within consulting business

Inputs: Length of Pipe Furrow Spacing Furrow Length Elevation of Polypad Discharge of well volume (GPM)

Achievements: Type/Size of Polypipe required Size/Quantity of holes punched Estimation of time required for

efficient irrigation of crop

Measuring flow rate/determining pipe size:

Flow Meter: +/-5%

Plumb-Bob: +/-10%

Calculation: GPM=DxDxL

Example: D=10, L=18”10x10x18=1800 GPM
