Design an engaging blog

Blogs are a great way to design an interesting site, and with the help of a template to get you started, it is also really simple! If you are a good writer, have stories to share on a theme, and know how to start a conversation, check out UBC Blogs in the Go Further section.

If you are doing a presentation and don’t want to use the same old powerpoint, you’ll also want to check out Prezi!

All you’ll need is some basic recording tool, such as your laptop or smartphone with a recording option, and then you can bring your art of conversation to life.

If you are using a UBCBlog, you can set privacy options according to your preference.

The UBCWiki, however, is not private, it is open for editing by anyone with a CWL.

On any other tool (Flickr, YouTube, etc) there are usually privacy options that you can choose for your account. Just be sure there is an option for your instructor to view your project.

Create a UBCWiki page

Just Remember...

... if you are signing up to a web service that is hosted in the U.S., you’ll want to take note of the privacy policies before you give over your personal information.

The U.S. has a different view of privacy than we do in Canada.
