CHOCOLATE REVEL BARS Oat Mixture: 1 c. soft butter 2 ½ c. flour 2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla 3 c. quick oats Chocolate Mixture: 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 (12-oz.) package chocolate chips 2 T. butter ½ tsp of salt 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts (optional) Cream butter and brown sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, salt. Stir in oats. Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Set aside. In double boiler or microwave, melt together sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, butter, and salt until smooth. Add vanilla and nuts. Pat 2/3 of the oat mixture into bottom of 10x13 cookie sheet. Spread chocolate mixture over dough. Dot with the remaining 1/3 oat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until slightly golden brown. Do not overbake.
