OBJECTIVES FOR YOUR COACHES

1. To be loyal to you2. To be totally honest3. To provide the leadership and training necessary

to achieve goals4. To work you harder than you have worked before5. To assist you in any way possible now and after

you graduate6. To treat you with respect7. To make decisions as to what is best for the team, and

Page 11: Chisholm Trail Track & Field 2014

ASSUMPTIONSThe program is centered on 4

assumptions.

If you are not in complete agreement with all 4 of the assumptions, it is best for you not to ever begin the program

because there will be constant conflicts.

Page 12: Chisholm Trail Track & Field 2014

ASSUMPTIONS1. We assume you want to be the

best Athlete you can be.

When a coach looks at you, they see what you could and should be, and will push you

to achieve your potential.

You will never be allowed to settle for less than your best.

Page 13: Chisholm Trail Track & Field 2014

ASSUMPTIONS2. We assume that you want to Compete on a Championship team. Our practices are designed to produce Champions.

You understand that decisions are made with the priority being the team, and the individual must come second.

Page 14: Chisholm Trail Track & Field 2014

ASSUMPTIONS3. We assume you expect to graduate with the highest grades that you are capable of making.

We will not simply try to keep you eligible.

Page 15: Chisholm Trail Track & Field 2014

ASSUMPTIONS4. We assume that you want to become a better person.

You understand that you ….- represent our team. - you will be held accountable for your actions.

Page 16: Chisholm Trail Track & Field 2014

SELFISHNESSThe only reason you will be eliminated from the team is "Selfishness". Selfishness and Team cannot co-exist. We will eliminate a selfish star to keep a team.

Selfishness is the problem; some of its symptoms are:

1. Stealing - violation of another's things or space for selfish gain2. Tardiness – explained elsewhere3. Absence - missing practice benefits no one4. I - concerned with self more than the team5. Class misconduct, ISS....etc.

Page 17: Chisholm Trail Track & Field 2014

SELFISHNESSAttendance and punctuality are mandatory. You are to attend every function, be on time, and be ready.

1. you will do 25 Burpees for being tardy to practice2. For every excused absence you will do 25 Burpees.

Excused = You notified the coach aheadof time and there was no other Option

3. For every Unexcused Absence you will do 50 Burpees

Page 18: Chisholm Trail Track & Field 2014

LOCKER-ROOMSYou are responsible to keep your individual area clean, and as a team keep the locker room neat. You are trusted to keep your locker orderly and neat. The coach will check each locker room after practice for any items not picked up. No one except athletes are allowed in the locker rooms. Do not invite anyone in without prior permission.

LOCKER ROOM SECURITYThere always seems to be a problem with items in the locker room coming up missing.

Solution:1. Coach: make sure all athletes have a secure place to store equipment and valuables.2. Athlete: responsible for securing all items in locker.3. Team: eliminate the selfish act of stealing.

FINALLY, THESE RULES WILL GET US ALL STARTED ON THE SAME PAGE, BUT

WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT IS THAT YOU HAVE COMMITTED YOURSELF TO AN ENDEAVOR THAT, REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOME, HAS SEPARATED YOU FROM THE MAJORITY OF YOUR PEERS. WORK HARD. GOOD THINGS COME TO

THOSE WHO DO.
