Input – The Rights and Responsibilities of the Filipino Child It is my rights to be born. To have a name and nationality. It is my responsibility to love my country and be a good citizen. It is my right to be free. To have a family who takes care of me. It is my responsibility to love my family and respect my parents. It is my right to have a good education. It is my responsibility to study well; to come to class on time; and to do my assignments It is my right to develop my potentials, talents and skills. It is my responsibility to use my talents and potentials in good things. It is my right to have enough food and shelter. Have a healthy and active body. It is my responsibility to eat clean and nutritious food. To keep my home and it’s surroundings clean. To have a clean and active body. It is my right to learn good manners and right conduct. It is my responsibility to do what is right, to be honest and to be respectful. It is my right to be given the opportunity for play and leisure. It is my responsibility to take care of my toys and belongingness and to keep these orderly. It is my right to be given protection against exploitation, abuse, danger and violence due to war and conflict.
