What did you want to be when you were a child?I wanted to be Registered Nurse and also aMom. Instead I became a Mom, a StaffAccountant for an accounting firm and then aRealtor. I came from a very big family and familyis very important to me. Circumstances prevent-ed the schooling for Nursing but I became aMom to three great kids and Grandma to sixgrand kids

How did you get involved in Real Estate?I became frustrated after a closing of a home Ibought went very rough and the sale of my firsthome I bought as a single Mom put me in tears.It could have gone so much smoother and painfree. So those two experiences pushed me intoconsidering Real Estate. I also felt that Realtorswere getting bad reps and that the public neededto be educated on the process of buying/sellingreal estate. What have you learned about living in Aurora?I came from Wisconsin 26 years ago and consid-er Aurora my home. I met my husband in SugarGrove. There are many opportunities in Aurorathat I didn't expect. My children went to Auroraschools. Its a mini Chicago with all the amenitiesit has to offer. I've been very happy in Aurora.My friends are sprinkled everywhere. Gettinginto Real Estate has created more opportunitiesfor making friends that have the same interestsand values.

The real estate industry has weathered thetoughest storm our industry has seen in years.How have you adapted to the "new normal"?I wasn't always into real estate. I came into realestate when the market started to take a turndownward. I've never known what a goodmarket was so my attitude has always stayedconstant. RIGHT information with the RIGHTattitude so You can make the RIGHT decision hasbeen and remains my motto. If you think bad,it'll be bad but I have the power to changelemons to lemonade. So I work harder and stayon top of the market trends, try new marketingtechniques, continue with the education and domy absolute best every single day.

What do you do when you are not showing orlisting homes?I keep up with family. I go visit Rockford,Wisconsin and Tennessee. I have grand kids fromages 16 to 1. I enjoy traveling and seeing every-body. Its a special time because its not done ona weekly basis. Phone calls are a must, I need toknow what's going on in their lives. I also do alot of reading about real estate and the newtrends that are coming, the market and wherethat's at. Now that its spring, I am in the processof redoing flower beds and updating my home.Fun time!
