1998 pyridine derivatives pyridine derivatives R 0380 48 - 141 Synthesis of Tetrahydro- and Dihydropyridines by Hetero Diels–Alder Reactions of Enantiopure α,β-Unsaturated Sulfinimines. — The hetero Diels-Alder reaction of the sulfinimine (I) proceeds with good endo/exo selectivity, but the induced diastereoselectivity is low. Interestingly, in the intramolecular reaction of the sulfinimine (IX), the induced diastereoselectivity is higher, while the endo/exo selectivity is lower.
